I've had this clay pot for about 2 years now and unfortunately 2 days ago it became unusable. I was cooking food in it when the top edge of pot suddenly crumbled into my food. This happened as the protective paint chipped off. I have already taken great care of this pot so I am disappointed that it only lasted two years.Whilst I have had use of this pot it has been brilliant. Very beautiful design and can be used for cooking a variety of meals (not just Asian food). It would be helpful if the inside of the pot was white or at least lighter than black so I can see if any food is burning (as that happened once).I am a big fan of the Souped Up Recipe channel so hopefully this can be addressed. Sorry for the unfavorable review. :/

Used the pot four times since receiving. It came with a few chips on the rim but is getting worse with each use. It would be a lovely pot if it was in perfect condition.

I really like this pot. I like the lid.. the color and design on the lid is really beautiful. This is a good pot to take to a potluck. The size of it is really good. I can make a nice large pot of soup in it. It feels very durable and looks like it's hand crafted. It also washes well in the dishwasher. It seems to be a very good quality. Oh, and the heat distribution is perfect!

Pot arrived promptly in Canada one day ahead of promised date.It was well packed in a double box. The pot is beautiful. I love the lid and the hammered walls of the pot. I adore the pot. Despite being clay, they are very strong and will last a lifetime. They are easy to clean up and care for.I am very familiar with cooking in Clay pots and this is my third pot in varying sizes. They are perfect for braising, browning and general cooking. I also bake bread in them at 500 degrees F and the crust is spectacular. A few name brands out there sell for well over the price of this one!I am very happy with this purchase. I had a small issue and reached out to Mandy. Love the look of it and size, been making the most amazing congee in it so far with chicken rice next. Well worth it.

When I first unpacked the pot I was immediately impressed with the substantial wall thickness and overall design. The pot itself is functional as well as thoughtfully designed and the lid has a very whimsical design making it a perfect "oven to table" vessel for cooking as well as serving from. My first use was to cook a Moroccan style lamb stew and it was a pleasure to prepare this dish using the clay pot, it has nice stovetop heat distribution and works equally well in the oven. The clay also dissipates heat slowly so once the dish is complete and served, the remaining food will maintain a warm temperature for quite some time. Because I'm not cooking for a large family I find the size of this clay pot to be just perfect.
