Resin mold table

This mold consists of three parts, the doughnut shaped base, the hand holding the bowl and the insert for the inside of the bowl. I say bowl, but it's actually the shape and design of the top of a skull- a bit creepy if that's what you are going for. It would have been nice to have instructions, at least an estimate of the volume needed to fill the piece, since I had quite a bit of spillage trying to guess how much resin to use. It's also a bit awkward to insert the inner part of the bowl/skull, I couldn't get it to seal properly and was left with rough edges. You also need to fill the base mold pretty high or it will be tippy and the base and main part will need to be glued together, it won't stand on its own. That said, I think I will eventually get the hang of this one. The silicone is pretty sturdy and no issues with cleaning, though it was really hard to demold. Probably best for someone with some experience with casting to do this one properly.

Quality mold material.There are just so many pieces.Getting the bowl portion to fit just right is a challenge.Not for people beginning resin work.

Unfortunately I wish I could say that this was a great mold cuz I've had two other ones just like it and they were fine from another seller but this was a great deal so I decided to buy another one. I didn't realize till after I used it and saw a mark on the octopus's head, a completely perfect round circle. I looked at the mold and there it was plain as day I didn't even see it before. This mold was also crudely cut out and I was a little disappointed by that too. Sometimes it doesn't pay to buy cheaper. This mold is unusable. And it wrecked my completely beautiful project that I made which was also a waste of epoxy. And this mold takes a lot of epoxy. Time and money now wasted.

This is a really awesome, sturdy mold. I initially got it to make decorative soap, but didn't pay attention to the size. This thing is huge! It is really detailed and works well with resin. I could make soap, but holy cow it would be way too big.

This was a complete waste of resin. Don't bother wasting your money. This mold does not turn out like the photos as the hand absolutely lacks detail and looks like a cartoon as opposed to any semblance of a real hand. If your are going for cartoon halloween, it will work for you... otherwise, move on and fine something else.What is remarkable, is the silicone mold is nice a heavy duty and quality made. Wish some of the others I've acquired were made that sturdy. They just didn't put that effort into the detail of the design.Don't waste your money, time or resin.
