This is an amazing piece of equipment. Very sharp and incredibly easy to clean. Just rinse under hot water from several angles and allow to dry. I have used it for olives, strawberries, grape and cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. It saves me a lot of prep time and the slices are all the same size, which is great for cooking.

it allows one to slice up something (We use it for hard boiled eggs, strawberries) and at the same time deposit right where you want it, fast, easy. We had purchased two others, which were disappointing, but this one is terrific.

What a waste of money. In the directions it says you cannot use hard vegetables. It should also add that one cannot use soft vegetables like tomatoes. As others have pointed out it is smaller than it looks. It turned my tomatoes into mush. Going back to using a knife.

Slices mushrooms almost like butter. One problem will not stay closed. Hence, 4 star rating. I have rubber band keeping the item closed.

The slicer is so easy to use and clean. Speeds up slicing mushroom, strawberries, etc. Improves food prep as even slices makes all cooking more even. And all looks so much better. I find I look for things to use the slicer with as it's fun to use, too. Worth the price.

This is perfect for my strawberries. It makes quick perfect slices. Has held up really well not like other slicers that have broken on me.

This is the best investment I could have made. It costs more than regular strawberry slicers, but it is strong, durable, and makes cutting huge strawberries a breeze. No need to worry about breaking your cutter when using this. It's awesome!

Slicer worked well for just over a year and then came apart at the hinge. There is a 5 year defect warranty on Gefu products initiated by return to online vendor but I can’t figure out the specifics of the process. Suggestions??

Wir sind von dem Scheibenschneider begeistert! Er schneidet z.B. Champignons perfekt in nur ein paar Sekunden. Ich brauche kein Schneidebrett mehr, sondern drücke die Champignons direkt über der Pfanne durch den Scheibenschneider. Innerhalb von Sekunden ist die Pfanne voll mit perfekt geschnittenem Gemüse. Je nach Lebensmittel muss man eben mehr oder weniger fest drücken, aber das Ergebnis stimmt. Natürlich gibt es Produkte, die nicht so gut damit zu schneiden sind, weil man das Produkt sozusagen durch die (gezackten, damit der Inhalt nicht verrutschen kann) Messer drückt und eventuell quetscht. Aber die Produkte die funktionieren, funktionieren einfach super. Bei der Auswahl des Schneiders waren für uns wichtige Kriterien, dass der Schneider leicht zu reinigen und vor allem spülmaschinenfest ist. Und diese Kriterien erfüllt der Scheibenschneider. Mein Fazit: Auch wenn man nicht Alles damit perfekt schneiden kann, möchte ich dieses Küchenwerkzeug nicht mehr missen!

Champignons sind sofort in Scheiben geschnitten. Tipp:. unmittelbar sofort nach Gebrauch von Hand waschen, nicht eintrocknen lassen. Nachtrag: nach 1 Jahr habe ich ihn ruiniert, da ich Radieschen geschnitten habe, die sind zu hart, steht auch auf der Gebrauchsanleitung, die ich leider nicht mehr im Kopf hatte, auch Zwiebeln lassen sich nicht schneiden. Aber alle weichen Sachen. Der Verkäufer leistet mir trotzdem Garantie und nimmt den von mir ruinierten Schneider zurück.
