Okay
Wish it would have lasted longer than one summer. Tried to fill it up after storing them empty and unscrewed in the basement over the winter and they have a bunch of cracks causing it to leak all over. Will be replacing with a more compact base as this one does spread out wide. It was nice while it lasted though it never fell over

Well-Constructed and Great Value
This base works very well. We easily filled each of the four sections using a water hose. The base keeps our umbrella quite stable. We bought the wicker texture, and it blends in beautifully with the rest of our furniture. We are extremely pleased with the purchase.

Plenty of stability, thinner profile than other bases
Overall pleased with this product. We paired this base system with a 10' mastercanopy cantilever umbrella purchased on Amazon. The base is attractive and matches some of our other patio furniture with a thatch design. Once assembled the base is about 40" square, so keep that in mind when picking a location. With the completed set loaded with your weighting materials it's not going to be easy to move. I chose to fill each of the "plates" with play sand. I bought four 50 lb bags of sand from my local big box hardware store for around $30. I chose sand over water because it weighs more and the recomendations I found online for what a good weight would be for this style of umbrella ranged from 175 to 200 lbs. I had about 10 lbs of sand left after filling, so each plate has about 47 lbs of sand in it. For filling I had some old funnels and I propped these up diagonally with the spout directly vertical. It took me about an hour to fill all four plates and I agitated the plate towards the end of filling to make sure they were filled to the top. Even filled with sand the material of construction is solid and does not deform when loaded, which I saw as a positive. I had looked at other designs, but they were much larger than this system for the same weight. The lower profile of these allows easy operation of the rotation function on my umbrella. Once assembled, this system provides a very sturdy and solid base, even when the wind is blowing at a good clip. Overall, solid construction, plenty of weight when filled with sand and provides a solid base in a stiff wind. Should you choose sand, you'll need to factor in this cost in your overall purchase price.

Seller not the most helpful
Product has been great for a couple years. Unfortunately the interconnecting pins are rusting and the seller can offer no help in where I can buy more. If it were within it's 60 day warranty, they would replace the pins but as it is not within 60 days they cannot (will not) help me.
