I purchased this DVD to gain some additional insights into repairing and fixing Lionel Trains. I am relatively new into this hobby area and the price was right when I purchased it.Here is the low down on the DVD:1) It's designed for beginners to help you get started and understand your way around maintenance and repair.2) The overall lenght is on the short side and I would have liked it to be a little longer.3) Some video clips edit out some key steps as they go about the process of cleaning and repairing.4) There are some very good repair and maintenance tips.5) The DVD covers how to set up a worksplace and what you will need.5) This DVD only covers the Lionel Brand (hence the name on the DVD)I would recommend it for anyone who wants to start maintaining their train collection. Excellent repair guide.

It's a great help for your pre and postwar trains and equipment. But what it lacks is wiring schematics or diagrams to help hobbyists with understanding the wiring of their trains and accessories.

disappointed, video only touched on old postwar trains, simple repairs/maintenance and was only 45 minutes long

A very good review of basic maintenance and some commonly needed repairs. I definitely recommend this to anyone just getting started in repairing their Lionel trains. It will encourage you to try it yourself.

A great little video that covers basic maintenance of Lionel postwar products. I have enjoyed listening to this video several times, and get something new each view. I can recommend this to anyone that is interested in maintaining their Lionel or other 3-rail trains.
