4 pack Kaneso Tokuyou Hanakatsuo , Dried Bonito Flakes 3.52 Oz -

My cats adore these bonito flakes. Unfortunately, Kaneso insists on shipping these soft plastic bags in soft-sided envelopes, which causes the flakes to be smashed into powder...which my cats do NOT adore. I can't calculate how much money I've lost because the cats won't eat the powder/dust bonito. I've made numerous requests to Kaneso to ship the bags in boxes, but that only happens 2 out of 5 shipments. I've finally decided that I'll search for another treat for the cats. No more Kaneso Bonitos Flakes, guys!! Bummer.

Labeled for human consumption, but these Japanese sourced Bonito flakes are surprisingly priced cheaper than those labeled as cat treats elsewhere.Unlike others here, we have not consumed them ourselves, but two of our three cats are literally addicted to them. Just the sound of touching the bag brings them running; they ask for them all hours of the day.I swear one of our cats can read the Alexa re-order reminders that appears on our television screen!

This was a great product. Cats love the big flakes and the price was reasonable.Now, however, they are shipping the product in a bag and the flakes get crushed and you end upwith dust. Not good. If they can't ship in a box like they used to, they should package the flakes in a container like a coffee can. That's what 'kitty caviar' does.

I buy these for my cats. They love them! The cat version is 3 times the price of these - for the same amount!The only issue is keeping them fresh tasting - my cats won't eat them after a week or so. Even closing the zip bag doesn't help. I have tried freezing them as well.Your cats will love you if you give them Bonito flakes as a treat. When I open a bag, they come running.

It makes perfectly acceptable dashi if you are not overwhelmingly demanding about your broth. The office cats also love it. Just be aware that when the bag is open the contents smell like an office kitchen that microwaved thrice-reheated fish leftovers, so you should double bag the fish flakes.

These taste so good with noodles. It's a very decent size package worth the money I sprinkled some on my cats food as an extra treat and he loved it too.

My cat loves these and begs for them whenever I open the bag. Great option for finicky eaters!

We bought this to make dashi, but some of it went into our dog's belly. It has a nice savoury, fishy flavour.
