Works great on my Nikon D750. Focusing to infinity works fine, and image sharpness is perfect. DSLR must be set to manual exposure mode, and lens must be manually stopped down for match-needle exposure. Manual focus must be used. This is the perfect accessory for fitting vintage m42 screw-mount lenses to modern digital cameras.

The adapter fits well in my nikon FF and I’ve been using it with an helios 58mm 44-M. The adapter includes a glass element to allow infinity focus but it causes a noticeable degradation of the image, varing in intensity depending on shooting conditions (it gives a hazy look to the subject and reducing sharpness ) . Really haven’t decided if I’m gona keep it or return it. If I keep it it would be only because I really don’t like do freelensing.

I used with manual focus only but it did work well and focused well. But it did make the white balance a shade greener . Over all though good product and was able fix white balance in editing

Purchased this adapter to mount a CZJ 35/2.8. Does not work as described. The bit of the adapter holding the glass element physically blocks the helicoid from moving where it needs to be to focus properly. Focus is limited to .6-4 feet.

I have tried all the M42 adapters to get my Pentacon and Zeiss lenes to work on my Nkon d5200. I tried to add spacers in the lenses, back out the elements. Never could get infinity focus and have it sharp. This one is AMAZING. No softness, crisp and clear. BS when people tell you if can't be done. for HD video and Web work it's GREAT! Don't try and mod the lens for Nikon it doesnt work. This works on all 3 of my nikons!

I can't even get the cap off the adapter to see if this product works. poor quality control in this department. have ordered a replacement to see if another one is usable

I was very pleasantly surprised that this adapter works great on my Nikon D40 coupled to a Takumar 135mm f3.5. After reading many reviews of adapters with optical adjustments for Nikon, I was somewhat skeptical. However, the positive Amazon reviews were accurate. This adapter works very well, and I cannot discern much loss of resolution with this lens, with excellent overall results. I cannot attest for shorter focal length lens and that this adapter will work well in all cases. However, this lens and adapter work great. See the attached photos.

Very useful to adapt a screw-mount lens to Nikon DSLR and still have focus at infinity. The glass element is bound to have some compromising effect, but for reasonably sized images it works fine, with excellent sharpness and good color saturation. I've used it on full frame and crop sensor cameras and did not notice any edge softness or light falloff. It's a great way to use leftover high quality screw mount lenses like Pentax Takumars.

Comprobado. Se adaptan los objetivos como era de esperar, bien roscado y muy bien la parte de la bayoneta. Hay que acostumbrarse al hacer la foto, hay que calcularlo. No te indica nada.

Para empezar pedi un producto el cual era totalmente inútil, puesto que el rango de enfoque que abarcaba era muy escaso. Se pusieron en contacto conmigo, despues de haber devuelto el producto y haberme llegado el reembolso para darme la opcion de probar este producto totalmente gratis. Me lo enviaron y esta vez sí, puedo enfocar al infinito sin ningun problema y la nitidez es buenisima. Gran vendedor, genial trato.
