One Piece, Vol. 9: Tears

I got the book about a week ago, I haven’t gotten the chance to read it yet because I’m still catching up. But I’m sure it’s a great read. My only issue is that there seems to be some sort of gunk on the book that kinda have the pages stuck together. I’m not sure what this is but it was sent to me like this.

I'm already caught up and still keeping up (lol) with the manga and anime. Nami's backstory and the very beginning stages of the walk to arlong park are some of my favorite moments, and I wanted to have a physical copy for keepsake. It arrived in perfect condition.

Came in great condition. Had to send it back. Only because it was to replace my other copy I thought I’d lost. But I found my original copy.

This is a book from the manga series One Piece, about a boy who sets off on his dream of becoming King of the Pirates. Although in the first three books I wasn't too impressed with the art but in this book we really seem to get into the flow of things and a little bit more creative, particularly with the Fish-men drawings. From a story standpoint this book is when the series really starts to get interesting with Nami turning out to be a good guy after all. A truly funny/ comedic series.Pandaman is easy to find in this book while not so much in some of the others. I was disappointed to find out that Zoro is called Zolo but I got used to it after a while.A really good story for people 8 and up. (there is a little violence but no language)

I mean, this is just a book. But, it did, however, arrive in very good condition, and looks nice in its place on my bookshelf. I was a little bit worried about how ordering physical books would turn out with Amazon, but I was happily surprised.

I think it was sad because it shows a sad backstory of namis childhood and it gives the reader much needed information

In my opinion the moment Nami asked Luffy for help was the moment I truly became a fan of One Piece. Though I started from watching the anime with subs, the manga still gives the same feeling that Luffy truly cares for his friends. So continue reading on because One Piece only gets better.

"Tears" is my favourite volume of "One Piece" so far. We learn Nami's backstory, which is entertaining and well told, and Oda sets up Luffy's intervention (I assume he will intervene) as a cliffhanger for the next volume.

This ninth volume of the brilliant `One Piece' manga continues the trend of the series getting better with each passing volume. This volume finally reveals what kind of past the thief Nami has had and what she is prepared to do to make her dream come true.This is another brilliant volume and one that is somewhat darker than those that have gone before with murder, betrayal and the like perpetrated by various characters. The humour of the series isn't gone entirely though and some of the early chapters of the volume have some very funny moments as well. This is also quite a sad volume and the volume title of `Tears' is aptly chosen as there is more than one moment in the book that should bring a tear to your eye.This is a very good volume of `One Piece' and it gives a good illustration of why this is one of my favourite manga series.

Great read as usual this vol has Nami’s flashback/origin story and the lead up to the battle with Arlong

One Piece ist für mich der beste Manga, ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen. Die englische Übersetzung finde ich bei allen Mangas deutlich besser und angenehmer zu lesen.

Para los que, como yo, amaron el capítulo de Nami del anime, esto es una compra obligatoria, ya que, aunque lo hayáis visto, reviviréis aquellos momentos de una forma nueva y más completa
