Dove Men+Care Fresh Feel Refill Kit

My only complaint with the refill system is that I struggle to find refills in stores but they’re always on here so it’s ok. Same dove deodorant you love in store but less waste. I’ve heard complaints about the deodorant breaking off but I’ve never had that problem, just don’t smash it into your armpit? Also the lid comes off pretty easily but it’s never been an issue even when traveling.

The title says it all. I have hypohidrosis, which totally sucks! I’m sweating like crazy so I’m very particular with deodorants. This one has never irritated my skin and smells great! I mean it’s high quality stuff and keeps the moisture level down. You guys gotta check it out! Sincerely, it works for me and I hope it works for you as well.

This is a good Dove for Men product for several reasons. Works well, no aluminum and very little plastic to discard. Great scent. Thank you to the seller, for this product is hard to find on the store shelves.

I really like the idea of this product. Decreasing waste. However a few comments: 1. It definitely is prone to breaking and you need to apply gently and changing the orientation of application does minimize this. 2. the product is about the same price or more expensive than the normal Dove deodorant. If they want to make this product sell better then they need to cut materials to also make it cheaper. Otherwise it comes off as just green washing and trying to sell to eco conscious crowd. 3. With above in mind, they should decrease the packaging. They could probably fit 3 refills in the space of the two. Or could make the packaging smaller for 2 refills. Why so much paperboard anyway? I don’t think this product is that fragile. Decreasing packaging would save weight, less shipping cost and less waste. 4. The paperboard is recyclable but what about the plastic on the refills?

I love this deodorant - effective, smells great, compact design, a little less plastic into the landfill (and I say 'a little' because there's still plenty on this thing). The boxed packaging is a little overdone - but I guess they want it to feel premium, and cardboard does break down easier. The refills DO come in short supply (you can't even find them sometimes), so I always buy a box or two extra to not run out. I see how a lot of comments are about the sheering of the product off the holder. I have never had that problem, and I am not delicate with them at all. I'm not saying people are doing something wrong, but the breakage thing has not been my experience from day one. Since this listing is for refills, it is unlikely this is for a new user. But I'm vouching for these here. They've worked great for me.

Pros: (1) I love the holder because it's solid metal, plus it looks and feels very high quality. (2) the deodorant works very well. It surprised me, working better than any other non-antiperspirant regular deodorant I've ever tried. Is this a different formula from their standard, disposable-holder product? (3) the size is more convenient for travel. (4) No problems with the deodorant breaking off the base (I'm 4 refills into this thing). I wonder if some other reviewers are being way too aggressive when applying the product. Cons: (1) the PRICE!! I understand if the kit with steel holder plus refill costs extra, but the replacement-only packs are WAY too expensive! I used a kitchen scale to weigh the refill after taking off the plastic dome. It's only 42 grams, or 1.48 oz. A 2-pack of these SMALL refills currently costs $9.49, making each one about $4.75. Meanwhile the standard throwaway version of this gets you 2.7 oz for $3.32 (4-pack is $13.26). So, we're being punished for helping the environment? (2) while it's nice size-wise for travel, it's very heavy for travel. I love the product, but it needs to be priced less per ounce than their landfill-unfriendly version. How else will you encourage people to produce less waste? Please lower the price, Dove!

I appreciate that these are cruelty free. I buy only cruelty free beauty and cleaning products whenever possible.
