the best series if you’re a kid or adult
This series of books is good for people of all ages because of its way of creating an image of a sixth grader’s life while adding humor that’s not bad and just really funny

Big nate
This book is very humorous and fun, I enjoyed it very much. I didn't choose an entire 5 stars for a few certain reasons:1. Jenny leaves very abruptly. Her leaving was very sad. She was pretty mean to Nate to begin with, but the hug she gave him before she left was so sweet. People would probably say that she hugged him because she was 'falling in love' (wait that's something Nate would say) but the expression on his face, as well as hers, tells you these things. Jenny is feeling sad since she grew up with him. He is as much part of her life as she is to him. By leaving him, although they are not particularly friends, him being there were she lives is a simple reminder that she is at home. For Nate, he felt to heartbroken to care that he had hugged her. She had been there as long as he could remember. It wasn't really romantic. It's more of two people who know that just being around one another, no matter how much they hate each other, means that they are in the same world, the home they love. I was so touched, and heartbroken that Jenny left. I'm sure they could have been wonderful friends, even closer (well, after Nate matures, of course. Since, you know, he is kind of obnoxious to Jenny.) So the ending between them wasn't fantastic.2. Nate's comics. Although there basically aren't any in this book, I'm not sure I like the things he writes about. Sometimes, the comics are hilarious, but the teacher thing isn't fabulous. Sometimes his teachers are pretty awful, but he isn't exactly kind to them either. Mrs. Godfrey is a strict teacher of course, but some of the things Nate says about her are quite rude. Although it might seem funny, we must remember that other people who may be, once been, or are going to be teachers may be offended. The things in the comic as well don't quite make sense too. A normal average (girl) 6th grader is usually more careful and kind around others. Boys may be more rowdy and less sensitive (don't worry I know there is also such thing as sensitive boys and rowdy girls, I'm not ignoring that) but I'm not quite sure that they are so obviously rude in front of a teacher. (I mean, no one likes to get in trouble!)3. I noticed as well that Nate is particularly rude to Gina. I think often she genuinely wants to be friends sometimes, and I like when they interact kindly, even if it's a small thing, like agreeing on the color of Mr. Staples tie. I simply wish that Nate was a bit kinder to Gina, since they could definitely have a great friendship.Other then these reasons, I loved the book (come back, Jenny!!!) the characters were great, the scenarios hilarious, and yeah. Enjoy big Nate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
