A shake with ingredients that make sense
I'm somewhat new to protein shakes so I gave Naked a chance. The Hot Cocoa was the 4th bottle I've purchased. The others are Chocolate Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Spice, and Chocolate Almond. Flavor: The Chocolate Peanut Butter is my favorite one. It's like having a milk shake for breakfast. The other 3 are all good as well but I'll probably stick with my favorite. The Hot Cocoa tastes like normal chocolate. I'm not sure what's different about this one. Mixability: I use a normal cup with a lid and shake shake shake. I'm usually left with little to no clumps. However, if there is a clump, at least it tastes good! I'm never grossed out by it. I have noticed that if I use a spoon rather than shaking, then it will be super clumpy. Content: I'm not vegan, but I don't eat meat and I have a dairy intolerance so I appreciate this being vegan. It never upsets my stomach. The calorie and protein amount suit my needs just fine. Also this uses actual sugar which is excellent! I hate artificial sweeteners and monk fruit tastes weird. But sugar? Perfect. My body already knows how to digest it, so I don't have to worry about introducing a new ingredient. Versatility: I've mostly had this shake as a breakfast replacement. It keeps me full until lunch or pairs well with a piece of fruit for a snack if I'm really hungry that day. I've added chia seeds (soaked overnight), ground flax, and hemp hearts for extra nutrition but Naked Shake is fine on its own without any mix ins. I've seen you can also use the powder in brownies or other baked goods but I have not tried that yet. Overall this brand is great and I keep coming back to it. It's just over a dollar a serving so I believe it's the best value compared to some of the others on the market.

I like it!
Updated to add that I recently bought the pumpkin spice and this flavor is by far my favorite!! Not overpowering and makes a phenomenal pumpkin smoothie and iced pumpkin coffee! I really like this protein powder. My primary concern is the clean ingredients and amino acid profile but honestly the taste isn’t bad. I’ve had the chocolate, which is my favorite, I use the vanilla for my overnight oats, and the unflavored for smoothies. It’s pea protein, so it can be a bit gritty so I find using a ninja blender and some ice and water the best way to go with this. Post workout, I use two scoops of chocolate, 1/2 frozen banana, 2 TBS of PB powder, 1 TBS chia seeds, ice and water and it’s really good! I do find the vanilla flavor a little overpowering in general, so if you’re going to have vanilla, expect to taste only that even when mixed with other things like yogurt or berries in smoothies. If you are transitioning off of pre made shakes like “Atkins” or whatever, give yourself some time to adjust. These will be watery compared to those because you don’t have all the artificial junk making it “creamy” and it may not be as smooth textured as you’re used to but eventually you won’t even notice anymore.

Tastes clean, good ingredients, but not super rich
I really appreciate the clean ingredient list in this protein powder. No weird fillers, no artificial sweeteners, and the protein sources are solid. It blends smoothly and works great in a shaker bottle, which is important when I’m in a rush. The chocolate peanut butter flavor is mild and pleasant, but I do wish it had a bit more richness. It’s not overly sweet, which I like, but the flavor leans more subtle and earthy than dessert-like. I’ve found it tastes best with almond milk or blended into smoothies with banana or cocoa powder for extra depth. Overall, this is a great choice if you want a clean, plant-based shake that doesn’t upset your stomach or spike your blood sugar. I just knocked off one star because I expected a little more flavor intensity from the chocolate and peanut butter combo.

THE shake with no stevia or artificial sweeteners!!
THE shake you want if you want real ingredients, no stevia, no artificial sugars, and a large amount for good value. I drink it daily, and it is DELICIOUS. I’m excited to try new flavors, but strawberry banana is always safe for me!

a sad ending?
Recently I started looking for a shake mix to use while traveling. To my delight Naked shake exists! I already loved their unflavored protein for daily smoothies, so it was the logical next step in our relationship. I read some reviews and it was obvious, get some. But shoot, what flavor? And there is no smaller sampler size? I don't know which one I want. $40 just to try one is a little steep. Happy to pay for samples I emailed them. Got the response: no samples for shake flavors. That's it. Nothing else. No, nice ot meet you thanks for asking. No, thats a good idea, I'll send you some. Or heres a link. Or coming soon. Nothing else, just no. So I read more reviews and picked a flavor that lots of folks seemed to like. The day came. My shake mix arrived at my door and I excited mixed up a scoop for a sample! Finally. UGH! Disgusting. I couldn't even finish one small shake. When it hit my taste buds I wanted to puke it up. It was nightmare inducing. I'm still recovering. It was one of those lifelong food events that you will never forget. Anytime I smell something like it now I have vivid memories and my stomach turns. So I guess now what? Can I just request a refund - nope. Can I get other samples - nope. Can I use this for something - nope, well maybe the container will make a good cat toy. I'm sad honestly. A little mad, but mostly sad. I want a Naked shake flavor. I want to progress our relationship, but I'm a little miffed now. Since I'm finishing my last 5lb of unflavored naked pea I'll look for some alternatives. I want to love it, but it doesn't love me back. Is this the end?

Delicious protein powder
Love the flavor and it blends well. I can pronounce all the ingredients and that’s what matters most to me.

So to begin with I have tried lots and lots of different protein powders out there and have thrown a lot of money away. I am vegan so finding a protein powder is essential. So first the lid, yes it's very tight. I just got out my bartender's wine corkscrew opener and pulled the tab/ lever part out and wedged it under the edge of the lid and kind of braced it against the side of the bottle and pulled up which causes the lid to pull out from the neck a bit. I did this all around the lid about 2/3 of the way and the lid just opened easily. You could probably do this with a spoon or a butter knife as well but the corkscrew actually kind of braces nicely under the edge of the lid and was very stable. Now the powder, It's very vanilla, the people who don't think so may be drinking it with a bunch of other stuff in it because mine is very nice smelling. the texture is really good for pea protein, it has no gums in it so it doesn't turn into a hard partially wet mass and mixes very well with Ripple pea milk. I'm not big on huge sweetness so I do find it a bit sweet for me but I am getting some of the unflavoured and will do half and half. I has all of the essential amino acids and I think all the remaining ones as well. It is not chalky at all in my opinion but I am used to some truly unpleasant vegan powders that are slimy, chalky, so sweet it makes your head hurt, contain stevia which is revolting or gummy. I think if you find it chalky you may be used to whey protein because this is very good. I don't mix it with water but a milk that is a little thickened so the texture may be different with different liquids and it also stays mixed quite well with the milk I use although I do shake it before I drink because I just take it as powder and milk with no other additions. I found another great protein powder but I had a lot of B vitamins in it and I am really sesitive and don't sleep well with too many B's but this is good, doesn't have a load of gums or weird stuff added and I can get 40-60g of protein in easily out of what I try for which is 100g per day, yes, I am almost a daily failure in this but I try. So now I finally found something I think I can use long term after so many fails, I am grateful.

Update: I didn’t realize when making my review that it was for a single flavour, it doesn’t allow for reviews on each individual flavour so I wanted to update my review. strawberry-Banana: im pleasantly surprised with the taste. I love the natural flavours and the fact that there’s no strange aftertaste. It’s doesn’t necessarily stay blended and if left sitting for a few minutes you have to shake it up again, but that’s the least of my concerns. It does mix well though in the sense that there’s no lumps, Vanilla: the taste is not great and could definitely use some improving. Like the strawberry-banana, it mixes well (doesn’t go lumpy) but requires a good shake before drinking each time otherwise the powder settles on the bottom. I do enjoy the strawberry-banana one enough to recommend this product. There’s no strange aftertaste, doesn’t cause me bloating, keeps me full and the best part, it doesn’t give me migraines like whey and casein powder does.

You might ask these questions; Am I gritty? Yes! If mixing with water shaking it for however long your arm can stand will be beneficial. I've found that all pea protein is gritty btw and there is no pea protein shake out there that is not gritty. If grittiness is a problem then mixing with other fruit/veggies ice cream whatever will take that away. Do I taste good? Yes it tastes pretty good. I like chocolate so chocolate shake tastes like a water downed chocolate milk. If you add it to milk/milk alternative I'm assuming it would taste like chocolate milk. Heavy metals? Here is the thing I question the most. A lot of vegan/pea protein shakes will have heavy metals because the protein like in pea picks up metals in the soil. I like that this company talks about heavy metals and they do independent testing on their products. Now I have not gone to a natural path, to have my blood tested but if I don't want to put whey in my body then some heavy metals I will consume I guess. I also want to mention I like the added mtc from coconut which is important to add to your diet especially if you are vegan/vegetarian. Also, low in sugar. I'm type 1 diabetic and this does not effect my blood sugar. I like to keep my sugar intake around 20gr to keep candida low as well. Canadian company with most ingredients from Canada. .

The vanilla tastes so artificial and is disgustingly sweet. The chocolate is much better even though it’s quite sweet as well (this is coming from someone with a sweet tooth).

My roommate and I have gone through over 10 jars of the chocolate peanut butter flavour. It’s the best plant based protein powder I have come across. I mix it in water after every single workout and I never get tired of it. Just use a milk frother to blend and you’re good to go! Tastes divine in yogurt bowls, chia puddings, oats. I haven’t tried baking with it yet but I can’t imagine it being too bad. Highly highly recommend!! We also tried the chocolate flavour and that is delicious too but the chocolate peanut butter is truly chef’s kiss😘🤌
