When your Zodiac pool sweeper cannot move and climb the wall of the pool you need to check the treads on the drive. Most likely the treads have been worn down to where they won't grip and cannot make the sweeper move. I noticed this about mine so I ordered replacement treads. They were super easy to mount on the drive wheels. Now they provide the traction to make the sweeper do its job.

You can find generic versions of these tracks for a quarter of the price, but they definitely aren't the same. The ones I got were super stiff and made it so I had to run my pump at full speed just to get the cleaner to run. I'm so glad I returned those and got these. Cleaner runs perfectly and climbs walls with the pump at less than half speed.

You must Buy the Name Brand Zodiac/Baracuda to replace your MX6 Wheel Track treads, they are worth every penny that you spend on them. It took seconds to install and worked perfectly the instant I turned the pump on. Do not buy any off brand treads to save money. I first bought the cheaper off brand treads that say they fit my MX6 and it almost broke my Zodiac/Baracuda MX6 Pool Vacuum. As soon as I installed the cheaper version My vacuum was unable to go up the stairs and around curves. It would get stuck because the treads were too tight, so I spent all day baby sitting the vacuum to keep it going. Plus I had to do extra work to keep the stairs and corners clean, plus buy more chemicals to fight back Algae. It was not worth it to buy the cheap treads if they disable your very efficient vacuum. Thankfully I only had to wait a week to replace the cheap ones for the Baracuda treads. Make sure when you make your purchase you get 2 treads. I found several companies selling just 1 tread at a time. If you are in a hurry, you could miss that.

Makes the cleaner work better. Good quality, worth the money.

I tried off brand treads in the past and they aren’t built the same. The last set I tried were slightly too small which put a lot of pressure on the gears. These work perfect every time.

I had tried the aftermarket tracks and the unit slowed down to a crawl.evrn though these wear out in about a year, I always keep a set as a spare. Fast shipping too.
