I think it depends on how long it has been out and how warm it is. It needs to be refrigerated. You could put a blue ice under a bowl to keep it cool. If your cat is not eating it all, put less out at a time. I had to give it to my cat through a syringe, a little at a time.

I don’t think so because it has probiotics. This product works great for my 23 yrs old cat.
