READ! The product is great no complaints, Be careful using it!
PLEASE READ. Especially if you’re new to archery. The product works great. This review is to maybe save another rookie out there. I made a rookie/dumb mistake and I did not grip the scale tightly when I went to draw my bow to measure its weight. The scale is smooth on the backside and it slipped out of my hand at almost full draw and smacked my arm… HURT LIKE A B!T**! Bruised up and bled a little. The scale complete came apart into 93803 pieces but that’s not the scales fault it’s my fault obviously. I will be purchasing another one.

Quick and reliable way to check draw weight of a bow
I’m an archery instructor for our local 4H club. We have more kids than we do bows so equipment is shared by multiple kids across different time slots. This makes checking each bows draw weight very simple. Each student documents their draw weight so instructors can adjust per individual. This helps them to be more consistent each week they shoot. I’ve used this product for several years now and it still works perfectly. Works for compound and recurve bows

It works and appears accurate.
I bought two, Incase one went bad and it’s nice to have one in my case as well as my work bench. Small and ergonomic, and it reads nearly the same everytime I pull it on my bow and others. It does feel slightly cheap, but I have no experience with others. It’s very light in the hand. Overall I’m pleased, only time will tell how much life I get out of it. Super simple to use.

Worth it!
Works great right out of the box. For a cheap scale it does the job! I would recommend it for the price range. If your into archery then I would suggest getting one! Looks like it should last a long while and weighs practically nothing.

Instructions here (good quality device, useless instructions)
The instructions it comes with are outdated and wrong and worthless. Instructions: 1. Press the power button repeatedly as it turns on to change units. If you wait more than a few seconds, you can't change units again until you turn it off and back on. 2. Press and hold the button to change between "C" (constant) and "P" (peak) modes. In Peak mode, just draw the bow and it will store the highest poundage it saw. In constant mode, draw the bow and hold it 3-4 seconds at full draw and it will store the let-off value. 3. Press the button to turn off. Press it again to turn on and tare. Always nock an arrow and aim at the ground or at a target when testing the draw weight in case the device breaks and dry-fires. You'd rather not destroy your arm, face, and bow. This is especially important for draw weights > 40 lbs. The end.

Most dangerous device I've ever bought on Amazon.
I can't believe I didn't read the reviews. This thing is insanely dangerous! It exploded, just like all the other people said. Do not buy this product if you're shooting anything over 30 pounds. Honestly, I wouldn't buy either way. This thing exploded. Thank god it didn't mess up my bow, but it cut my hand.

Decent for the price
I got this to test some garage sale bows I got, and the fist test showed 45 pounds I tried again and it was 32. I tried 3 more times and they were all within 3 pounds of 30, plus or minus It seems if you havent used it for a while the poundage is off by quite a bit

Simple to use
Very simple to use. I barely needed a glance at the instructions. I've used this after adjusting two of my compound bows. I also used it on a friend's recurve bows, just because it's fun to know.
