NEOSTRATA Comprehensive Retinol Eye Cream With Potent Retinol Peptide Blend surprised me the first time I used it. I don't expect results immediately, and I never have. However, this seemed to de-puff my eyes pretty quickly. It may have been a coincidence, of course, but after using it more regularly, my eyes do appear a little less drawn, stressed, and especially, puffy. It contains a retinol ingredient that's safe for the eye area, since other retinols are too strong for the eyes. Who knows? It may be the eye cream; it may not be. I am, however, going to continue to use it!

Ignore the other reviewers who gave negative reviews saying this is too heavy for daytime use. NEOSTRATA Comprehensive Retinol 0.3% Night Serum Potent Regenerative Treatment never advertised to be for daytime use; in fact, it quite clearly says NIGHT SERUM. The other reviewers took off stars unfairly and skewed this amazing product's rating. That being said, let's get to my review.This night serum is thick and a little goes a very long way. You should start using it twice a week for the first week. If you don't experience any irritation increase to three times a week. The ultimate goal would be every evening. It is critical that you apply moisturizer after your serum. This serum is mainly retinol and not moisturizing - don't ignore this step! What good is firm plump skin if it is dry and flakey?The results - I have been using this for about eight weeks. My one tube lasted me the entire eight weeks (twice a week for the first week, three times a week for the second, etc). I was not lathering it on in thick amounts (remember what I said in the beginning, a little goes a long way). My face became firmer, the pores on my nose became smaller, and my skin had an overall healthy look to it. The sunspots on my face also became far less noticeable. Overall, I am very pleased with the results and now my wife is demanding I buy her a tube.

It does seem to be working. Some of the fine lines around my eyes do seem to be diminishing. This product is easy to apply, odorless, and non-greasy. I haven't noticed any negative effects from continued use, such as burning or redness, so I definitely have to rate this five-stars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NEOSTRATA Comprehensive Retinol Eye Cream With Potent Retinol Peptide Blend Fragrance-Free for diminishing fine lines and wrinkles without the greasiness and perfumy smells some other products contain.

So far, the most noticeable difference between this and the much cheaper eye creams is the dispenser. Both are in tubes, have the same consistency, require the same amount, and have no noticeable smell. I don't love tubes because you're paying a lot for a tiny amount of product, so too much is inevitably left behind. I'm not sure if this unique pump top will make it easier to get more out (I've had some tubes that actually crack) or harder to squeeze out all the product. I don't think you can unscrew it when you get to the bottom. I'll bet it's easier for arthritic hands. I'm not seeing obviously better results, but I only have the finest of lines starting. My other eye creams don't seem to be having a lot of effect on them, but I'm hoping they're at least preventing. If I can say this erases those fine lines, then I could agree it's better...but will it be 3.5x better? I'll let you know if ends up convincing me.

I have had the opportunity to try quite a few products from this brand lately and have had very mixed feelings and results from there products. Basically they are either great or horrible. This one actually fell somewhere in the middle for me.This NEOSTRATA Comprehensive Retinol 0.3% Night Serum is much thicker than most serums out there. It has a much thicker consistency and doesn’t really absorb into your skin like a lot of other serums do. This one more sits on top of your skin, and you can definitely feel it after you put it on, even an hour after using. Because of this its definitely something I could only use at night time.As far as how well it works, my face does feel more plump and hydrated, but that’s about it so far. But do keep in mind that I have only been using it for about 3 weeks now and have been using every other day.As far as how well this works with other products in my skincare regimen, I also have mixed results. It works fine with pretty much anything I put under it, but I did have trouble with some moisturizers and overnight masks/treatments that I put over it. Some worked fine while others would start to pull up or feel and look really goopy on my skin if that makes sense. It’s most likely because this is on the heavier side for a serum and doesn’t absorb most of the way like the majority of serums out there tend to. Overall it’s ok… I probably would not purchase in the future unless I start seeing drastic results down the road. I will definitely be sure to update this if that ends up being the case!
