I installed this in my 2000 BmW and could not be more satisfied! Was super easy to install the radio itself, (trim in my Beemer was a lil challenging) but took me all of an hour, the UI is gorgeous, the sound is crisp and my ancient but well kept antique has now been brought to current day standards. Car play, 2 USB ports, and all the bells and whistles my 2022 has for a fraction of the cost. I am so so happy I purchased this addition for my vehicle!

I’ve read some reviews about people saying that it drained their battery, which made me hesitate to buy it, but I did so anyways. So far I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and everything is going great! What I did to avoid the battery draining issue that people were having was to go to settings and make sure to put the carplay to “no sleep” that way the carplay doesn’t stay on while your car is turned off; causing the battery drainage. In result, it does take about 20 seconds to boot up after the car has been turned on, but at least you wouldn’t have to worry about your battery!

I got this back in June for my E46. For the price and the options you get. I think this is probably one of the best head units for the price that you can buy. I have the occasional problems with it but I'll start with the good.This headunit uses an android OS which I'm very familiar with owning a android my whole life, The layout is very simple but finding some features like the equalizer is a little tedious. Install was really really easy, everything was labeled and BMW combines most of the plugs into bulk connectors. The headunit can work with the OEM radio intenna, I don't have one but it does have the option. Comes with a attachable GPS you can route and stick somewhere on or around the dash for Google maps. It looks amazing, I love how it makes it a restomod vibe interior. It works well, image quality up to 1080p and has 32gb storage, Google playstore to download apps, I use Spotify on it for a reason I'll explain later. It also includes a microphone to attach by the steering collumn. The coolest part is the addition of changing the theme of the headunit, they cost money besides the basic themes, but they sometimes have cool functions like reading speed of vehicle while driving, though they are always in KMH which i havent been able to change or find a way to change. There are some genuinely great themes available but some others look thrown together but the library is huge and updating all the time. Overall I love this headunit and has made my experience driving so much better.Now it's time for my small gripes. Sometimes the headunit will just crash apps you're using, not all the time but every once in a while, for example the most common one for me is I'll be searching for songs on Spotify or watching YouTube, and it would freeze and crash the app. The tablet itself would freeze fully but just the app I'm in and it would force close. On this headunit you have the ability to connect internet but doesn't come with one of its own to browse. Makes sense for the price point but I know some other ones they offer have that feature. Because of this, I have to use a mobile Hotspot to browse which I dont mind doing. But here is my biggest gripe with it. For some reason Bluetooth audio from MY phone won't work, some of the time. If I'm listening to music or on any app with audio it won't play through the headunit despite being connected. But for some reason if someone calls me via number audio comes through just fine and the built in mic works too, though I've been told it's quiet on the receiver end. The tablet has android auto but can never pair to android auto from my samsung phone to the headunit. Because of this I had to use my Hotspot and download songs from Spotify onto the tablet directly, which is nice when I don't want to use my Hotspot to stream the music, and the 32gb storage let's me download a lot of music. The crazy part about it is that, Iphone Bluetooth audio works fine, they can play music, any app on their phone, it streams the audio to my head unit, but my s23 ultra can't. I've gone through two s23 ultras so far so I know it's not the individual phone, considering the problem consisted between my two s23 ultras. It's pretty infuriating but I've come to terms with it. All my music is downloaded so I only need internet for Google maps or streaming stuff. Its just frustrating I can't use my phone to stream Bluetooth audio, but the only Bluetooth audio it wills stream is when I get a phone call? But the iPhone streams Bluetooth audio to a Samsung headunit, I don't really understand why and I've never seen anyone with my problem either, mabye I'm just the odd one out.In the end, I still think this is a great head unit, I love the sleek design, the mass amount of customization built, sound system tuning where sound lows and highs are played from all speaker positions, the audio tuned from the equalizer, and freedom to install what you want from the Google play store. Decent storage and great size, not too overwhelming and fits well. Makes the interior look well especially when paired with the id4motion digital e46 Guage cluster. Although it has problems I don't understand I still love this thing. I highly recommend reccomend regardless.

This unit appears to have all the bells and whistles, but the majority do_not work.Installation on my e46 required cutting the bosses protruding from the front of the unit off. Reinstalling the trim above this head unit will take some patience and will likely scratch the trim piece and or the vents above it.The wireless CarPlay is glitchy and frequently locks up, rendering CarPlay inoperable until you reset your phone.When you start the car and go into reverse, it will disconnect CarPlay, leaving it searching for your phone endlessly until you reset your phone.The steering wheel controls are not programmable. Prepare to re-learn the factory steering wheel controls to use them.When you turn off this head unit, all its lights turn off. At night you will be trying to find the right spot to touch the screen to turn it on.I do not recommend this head unit.

We were so impressed with this purchase! We had gone to Audio Express and they quoted us $2,000 to change out the stereo in my son’s 2001 BMW. He found this on Amazon. He was able to install it himself and it works perfectly. Super easy to install. Saved him so much money!!

I ordered a different unit at first, the Camecho. This unit was head and shoulders better. It has good response, fit perfectly without needing an extra bracket, sound works. I'm glad I watched a video on the tlink to get it properly connected with Android auto. I'd buy this unit again.

I’ve purchased several products from Eonon and have always been pleased with the quality and customer service. My biggest gripe with the Q50 Pro was after completing the install and putting everything back together, the radio didn’t fit securely and screws didn’t seat properly. Had to use some 3m tape to keep it in place. I contacted customer support and they sent an updated bracket, now the radio fits securely but the trim piece behind it doesn’t seat correctly. Not sure why they didn’t send the updated bracket from the beginning or why they decided to change the design because all their previous E46 radios have the brackets and fit nicely. All in all I like the radio, CarPlay works great, install wasn’t difficult after watching a few YouTube videos and customer service was helpful. They somewhat botched this design :-(

This brought my 02 330ci to the modern age. It’s so plug and play I did it in a couple hours. I’ve never messed with radio stuff before but I followed a couple YouTube videos and before you know it, it was set up. Months after purchasing I even messaged the Eonon team to get one of the 3 free gifts I never claimed and they were so accommodating. I would recommend my q50 to anyone that owns an e46. Install went flawlessly. You do have to shave a little tab on your trim right behind the screen to get your trim to fit flush again but I haven’t done it yet and nobody can tell except for me.
