Best set of wire cutters I own
Impressive set of wire cutters. Strong metal can hold its edge against most wires including steel. Sharp edge can even clip a sheet of paper.High quality but workmanship was a little off. The left and right sides of the cutting teeth are uneven but still work well. There was some sharp flash of material on the tip of one of the teeth that I had to grind off.

Best I have found. Still seems pricey.
I use these for low-voltage wiring, so I'm not cutting 14 and 12 gauge wire all day. However, I do spend a lot of time cutting wire-ties, and that's where these really shine. As you may have noticed, many cheap wire cutters don't actually cut all the way down to the pivot. This is important because that is precisely where the best leverage is. And when working one-handed, on a ladder, or under a cabinet, it's easiest to just guide the cutters all the way until the wire tie or wire is firmly at the bottom of the jaws and squeeze away. These do that every time. They are maybe an inch longer than average cutters, but if you use them all the time that's a small price to pay for the comfort and reliability. The cushions are really effective, not just for decoration. If only they were $10 less; I bought them because there is no real alternative at this level of quality.

These things are great
I'm not sure why these work so well. I have several similar cutters of the same size. I found myself needing to cut some old chain link fence. The heavy stuff that requires 3 people to lift a 50' roll, not 1 man lift for today's light gauge stuff. I could cut the wire with 1 hand and some effort. My other cutters required 2 hands and some grunting. If I didn't have these I would have been purchasing a battery run grinder,

A pair to last
Bought these because they were the New York Times’ top reviewed model. I was nervous when I first opened them because there was a slightly rough edge on one of the cutting surfaces, but it cleaned right off when I ran it over my kitchen knife steel. I needed good wire cutters to trim 19 gauge steel mesh on a fireplace screen, and these made the job easy through lots of cuts! I haven’t owned them long but they are clearly well constructed and I’m pleased to have a nice tool to keep for years.

worth the cost
Too bad I hadn't thought to spend a little extra years ago! I'm hard on wire cutters but these are going to last.
