These crossword puzzle books are great! They provide enough of a challenge to keep them interesting, but they aren't so incredibly difficult that I give up on them. If you are like me and don't enjoy watching television, this can be a good way to spend your time and exercise your brain in the process.

I have purchased a number of this series of crossword book and have not been disappointed. The puzzles are challenging but not frustrating. The answers are there if you get stuck and the pages are tear out so you can take one along without lugging the whole book. I would recommend this series to anyone who likes a fun and challenging crossword puzzle.

I really enjoy this entire series, and highly recommend it.. I suppose everybody who enjoys crosswords needs to find ones that are at the right level of difficulty for them, personally. These seem to be right for me: some are very hard, but not impossible. I like the fact that you can spend as much time as you like on a puzzle, and then decide when you've had enough. You can then decide how much you want to "cheat". Sometimes just looking at a small part of the solution is enough to help you finish the puzzle. I also think that many of the themed puzzles in this series are very clever. This series does have a lot of themed puzzles, so if that's not your style, this might not be the right series for you. I really enjoy the clever themes, and I also enjoy the many "punny" clues throughout the series. They can be extremely clever, too, and when you figure them out, there's not only a great sense of satisfaction, but also the pleasure of understanding the joke!

These are the best. My husband goes thru a book month.

I enjoy working the puzzles in the Simon & Schuster Mega books of 300 puzzles. Some are tough, some are easy, some made me laugh, and as with all collections some puzzles have nonsensical and head-scratching clues that I will never understand. Overall, the book has a good cross-section of easy and tough puzzles to satisfy most puzzle enthusiasts.

I do crosswords to relax and to keep my mind busy and I am pleased with this volume. It's not so easy or hard as to be unworkable, and it is printed clearly, with answers in the back portion of the book. I would recommend this tome.

I've ordered five of these Simon & Schuster Mega Crossword Puzzle books so far, and I've just begun my second. I.e., 300 crossword puzzles is a long-lasting stash of puzzles! They wouldn't be so great, however, if the puzzles themselves weren't great. Which they are. They say that these are never-before published puzzles, all, and I can't swear as to the veracity of that claim. But the puzzles, for me, are the right blend of a few too hard for me to finish without cheating, and the balance being puzzles that are hard, but ones I can actually finish with a little time, and a little thought. IMHO, that's a hard thing to find in a crossword puzzle book. I love 'em. Will probably end up ordering every single one of them, God willin' n' the crik don't rise.

Most of the puzzles are challenging. Like the ability to tear out pages.
