Good for children
When I was young (before the internet), I learned most of my geography by look at the atlas in the house, so bought this for the children. They love it & read it a lot. It also helped with my five year old's reading, as he's starting noticing suffixes that keep popping up (like "land" and "stan" etc at the end of country names) and generally learning new words from it. It's not entirely intuitive, the way continents etc have been divided up across different pages, but it's also taught the children how to use the index when they're looking things up.

EXCELLENTLY PRINTED WORLD MAP!
I am very pleased with this map, printing is so clear and sharp that it’s easy to pick out small details!

Good information source
Great for most ages and multipurpose uses. My daughter loves this for study and my mom loves it for its time zones to check when to call her grandkids

If the printing was as good as the maps I would give it 20 stars
If the print was as good as the maps were then I would give praise. But the printing for place names is so small one needs a magnifY>ng glass to see what you are searching for I have come to the conclusion this lovely book was rushed by trainee publishers who had no idea of what they were about . While the maps are so clear it is a real shame that who ever put the book together should go back to the drawing board and sit and look at his or her extremely bad work now I'm a 74 year old senior citizen my sight is good but sadly it would not be if I had sat and tried to read the place names in t-e map book, they are ridiculously so small that I decided to use m* old atlas to find the place names because I did not want to damage m eye sight. Therefore I will not be telling my friends and family to buy this a book.

Atlas
Well worth the purchase and to combine both with geometry set.

OK for quick reference.
Thin paperback, very glossy, but few maps with only basic information. Can be infuriating to consult this atlas only to find the scale it too small.
