Dark Minwax Paste Finishing Wax

Q: im looking for a good wax too put on the top of my table saw so that everything will silde rel easy when im cutting

I haven't used this for that kind of problem but do think this is an excellent wax.

Q: Can I use this on wood I have stained or do I need to put a urethane finish on it first?

Once urethane is applied, the ability for the dark stain to penetrate into the wood is greatly reduced. Depends on what you want to do; I used it to repair a walnut cabinet, first removing the heaths wood, then reapplying it when dry.

Q: Is this darker than the ‘Special Dark’ finishing wax?

Minwax has two colors, light and dark. I use both depending on whether I have used a light (or no stain) or dark stain on my wood projects.

Beautiful Results

A contractor working on our addition introduced me to this product. I used it to freshen up our cabinets with really impressive results. I tried to take off the wax with microfiber cloths & was disappointed. I switched to terry cloth & saw an immediate improvement. Plan on taking some time & effort with this product, but the results speak for themselves.
