Great price and better than my original battery ever was
After struggling with my Nexus 6P for months and wanting to throw it at a wall, I discovered that there is a known battery issue and found this battery recommended on a DIY repair site. For the price I was willing to give it a try and it's PERFECT! This is an EXACT fit as my original battery and it seems to last longer than the original one ever did. Even when my phone was brand new, I could only go about 1 1/2 days before I had to recharge. With this new battery, I can get 2 to 2 1/2 days. It's awesome! The battery does not come with instructions but there are plenty of videos online that can walk you through the process. If you do decide to try replacing the battery yourself, here are 2 little tidbits of advice. First, DO get a replacement of the glass camera lens cover (black glass on the back of the phone) because it shatters very easily when trying to get it out. Second DO use a playing card like they show in the videos to get the battery out. I used a piece of thicker plastic and got very lucky. There is a ribbon cable under the battery and my plastic workaround almost tore it out which probably would have been bad. I was lucky, the plastic I used only lifted the cable and bent it a bit. A playing card probably won't hurt the cable like I almost did.

Shuts down when opening camera or using headphones
After installing it appeared to work fine. However, whenever I opened the camera app or plugged in headphones into the 3.5mm jack, it would shut the phone off and not turn on until plugged into power. This happened multiple times (once while I was on a hike, leaving me without access to a working phone in case of an emergency).I've read on multiple Nexus 6p forums that some aftermarket batteries can't handle the voltage spike for the camera, whether or not this is true, it appears that this is might be the case for this battery. I had to remove this battery and install the old OEM one as I take lots of pictures and listen to music using headphones almost daily. As a note, I did turn off HDR+ (as this was mentioned as a work around for the shutdown issue) but it still would shutdown about 50% of the time. Would not recommend.

Perfect Repair Replacement
Replaced my Nexus 6P battery with this unit. My original battery started to hold much less of a charge after about two years of use. I'll be interested to see how well this unit holds up.Replacement of the unit was really quite simple, you do need a heat gun. I was apprehensive but borrowed my friends heat gun and did the replacement in about 30 mins.I was quoted $100 to have the part repaired in town. Google said they'd do it for free but you had to send the device in and I had read that some people were without their phones for a few weeks. The repair was simple enough to try it at home. If you break the case replacements can be found on Amazon for less than the cost of a full repair from a shop.

but the phone would just turn off like a light switch when taking HDR pics or doing ...
Battery life is ok, but the phone would just turn off like a light switch when taking HDR pics or doing other things that required a lot of power. Also, the battery looks basically like what's pictured, but the Huawei is blacked out with like with a marker. Factory seconds? Bogus goods? I don't know, but probably not OEM, and definitely not a good product.I have since purchased a different battery and it is working great, but unfortunately I didn't get it done in time to return this one, so I'm out the purchase price.

Not OEM, but battery fit exactly
I can't speak on the longevity of the battery after just over a week. However, this battery has resurrected my phone to it's original battery life. I, like most, had the early shut down bug at 20 percent battery. I was constantly fast charging just to get though a day, and travelling was very difficult. This battery has at least tripled my capacity. It's healthy, fast charges correctly, and I don't notice any heat issues. If anything far less heat. The case isn't for the weak at heart to open. I broke the rear black glass. Replacements seem to be readily available on Amazon. Mine broke in the middle and my case covers the broken part, and I'm going to leave it as is. I did have a heat gun and precision tools, however the one tool that could have prevented the damage in my opinion, I didn't have. I have a scalpel with a triangle blade (aka precision knife), but you really need one with a square blade. i.e. The blade on the tip (picture a scraper, flat head screwdriver or chisel). You need the razor sharp flat end to do most of the prying.Don't even try without a heat gun! Also, there are two very flat ribbon cables under the battery. Find a picture of their location before using a playing card to break the insanely strong glue adhering the battery to the phone. I wasn't aware and could have easily damaged them, but got lucky. Trust me, the two most difficult steps are removing the black rear glass, and dislodging the stupid powerful battery glue. Be patient. My intention was to get one more year from my two year old 6p, and I think this will do it. Five stars until this battery starts anything bad.

Completely satisfied, appears to be genuine oem, exceeding expectations
This was the second time I bought a replacement battery for my nexus 6p , and this one is def the way to go. the packaging looks exactly as pictured with the Huawei branding so it does appear to be an original oem. I dont know if I got lucky or what but according to my Accubattery data over the past 7 days of using it the one I got is apparently 113% estimated capacity haha (3894mAh). See photos. The battery works like a charm, completely satisfied.I got my phone when the 6p first came out over 2.5 years ago and its still going great. Discharge rates while idling (screen off) has been at a nice 0.5%/hr, with almost 200hrs of full standby time estimated.

Product appears to be OEM battery. Install process was a little difficult to do without minor damage to the case, not due to the battery itself but something to consider. After install, the battery was and still is a little hot when charging. More so noticable than with the original battery. Yesterday the phone randomly shut off at 67% and would not restart untill plugging it into the charger. Phone restarted at 65% charge. Please see updates in the comments below...
