Q: Is it real brass? Id be buying it to force patination. Id like to get a green/blue color

It appears to me that it's made of real, solid, heavy brass. I believe, too, that there's a lacquer coating to prevent my hand from smelling like oxidizing brass as i use the pen and sweating on it which would oxidize and make the pen less valuable to me. It could probably be removed so you'd get your desired effect. Really, though, is a 20.00 pen worth this much time??? Buy one, if it's not to your liking, give it to someone who'd appreciate a quality product.

I don't think you can get a replacement clip. This excellent pen is very inexpensive for what you get. Therefore, I recommend that you simply order a replacement.
