Diadora Squadra Soccer Socks

I purchased these (Diadora Squadra Soccer Socks, Black, Large) as I was in need of soccer socks containing no latex. Latex makes my skin itch in the area of the shin bone. These are stated to be 60% Polyester, 30% Nylon, 10% Spandex. They are non-irritating and I am pleased with them. I use them for mountain biking to keep my muscles warm and protect me from vegetation. These are of a decent thickness and do both well. They also breathe well and my feet feel comfortable without overheating after a long day riding. They air-dry fast after washing, which is a convenience when camping or in a motel.I have several other brands, these are my favorite. The area around the ankle and at the top is stretchy, while the area around the shin bone and calf muscle is looser. This is a very nice design feature as (a) you could probably insert a shin pad comfortably if needed and (b) this area is where I get the irritation from other socks. I like them well after wearing several times and have ordered another pair.As far as fit, I ordered a large. I am medium build, 5' 9 inches, 160lb and foot size 9.5 USA. The socks go on very easily, they don't feel tight anywhere. At first I thought they might be too loose, as they go on so easily and calves aren't constricted like other socks. However, they stay in place and don't fall down at all as the top area is long enough to fold over and after all, that's what keeps them up. Other socks tend to be tight in the calf area. At first, you think that's good. But then, that type of sock falls down (actually, it's the stretchiness in the calf area that is in fact pulling them down) and you have to keep pulling them up. These socks don't have that problem.Whoever would think you could say so much about socks? But there you have it.

These are hands down my son's favorite socks for soccer. He often complains of socks itching and he says these NEVER itch him. I have bought 3 pairs so far. They are durable and stay up. He is 11 yrs. old, wears a 4.5 size shoe and the small fits perfectly. I bought the Seattle green and it's like the blue/brown dress riddle--are they green or are they yellow? Whatever color it is I recommend a bright color to make it super easy to spot your kid on the field!

Purchased for women's shoe size 7.5. Seemed to shrink after washing so fit is acceptable. I needed this color for team wear, so it's fine. Otherwise I wear s better fitting pair. Seems to be sized for the guys.

Purchased the size I thought would fit based on other reviews, but they were a bit too small. Otherwise they are good quality and held up well.

I needed some socks that were large/long enough to go over my calves and get to my knees. This did the job. They do feel a little slippery but I wear my cleats tight so not an issue so far.

Thought I was ordering adult size. Not clearly marked on the website. Missed the return window. It's a nice sock. Will probably gift it

Fits as described and are perfect for our daughter. This is her first year of soccer so I really had no clue what to get her that wouldn't feel awkward for her to wear and she loves these so much she wants to wear them all the time! :)
