If you ride, then you need a pair of these.
I use these for every ride with my wife (as a passenger) or with my cousin (another bike). They are a game changer for simple communication, safety, phone use and navigation. They connect to other non-Cardo comms and that’s a bonus. I’ve had mine for over a year, battery life is good and range is great. I’d recommend these for anyone who rides a motorcycle. Great product and value.

So far only good alternative I know of
I was given Sena and thought it sucked so bad. Went back to my Bose earphones that fit well under the helmet. Well but I would feel them on really long rides. At that time I would just wear ear plugs. Well, sound quality here is good enough. I wear plugs and do not have to blast it when my touring helmet on. I don’t use mic much but it works and people hear me clear. Happy with the purchase. It does make life little easier than my wired ear phones

Effortless Installation and Perfect Audio Quality
I love how quick and easy it was to set up, and the audio quality with JBL is simply perfect. The materials used are top-notch, making it both durable and user-friendly. Let's not forget about the "Cardo Connect" app, which was a pleasant surprise with its excellent functionality! Highly recommend this product for its ease of use and outstanding audio performance.

Sounds great so far!
I just received this today and haven't even gone on a ride yet with it installed. I figured I'd leave a quick installation review.First, it didn't come with any actual paper documentation on installation or operation of the device. I had to go online and download the PDF files from the manufacturer. Whatever, just something that I found annoying at first which was quickly resolved with a visit to Google.Second, installation was a breeze. I have a Shoei Neotec 2 modular helmet. I first attached the actual Cardo device mount to my helmet just behind the little notch thingy on the side. I wasn't able to get the clip to work correctly but honestly, I didn't really feel like using it anyway, so I gave up quickly. After I attached the mount, I let the helmet sit for about 4 hours while I ran some errands to allow the adhesive to set. When I returned home, I popped out the helmet liner, put in the speakers and ran the wire, popped the helmet liner parts back in, and went to test. NOTE: I decided not to install the microphone since I ride solo 99.9% of the time and the 0.1% of the time I'm riding with someone we just use hand signals.Music plays and sounds great. The JBL speakers are amazing. I'm able to pop my helmet on and off without even knowing the speakers are there until I play something. A much different experience versus trying to use Apple AirPod Pro 2's which came loose when putting the helmet on and came off entirely when removing the helmet. Control via the app or just using my usual music player on my iPhone 15 Pro Max is fine. It's too late tonight to head out for a ride (and cold either way... 35F here at the house) so I'll save the road test for this coming weekend. My plan is to wear my normal foam hearing protection and seeing how this all works. I'll update my review once I've done that.

Great sound
I'm writing this review after 2 years of owning it. This unit is fantastic! I don't often ride with other people so I knew I didn't need the mesh system. I mostly got it so my wife could call me when I'm on the bike and not worry that I didn't answer. I'm sure we've all been there "I'll only be out like 2 hours"....6 hours later you're still out riding and lost track of time. Sound quality is absolutely fantastic! I have this mounted in a shoei that's not loud but not quiet either, but this unit is more than loud enough for music, podcasts, gps lady, phone calls you name it over the wind/road noise. Super easy to set up, super easy to maintain. Battery life is amazing! 2 years of nearly every day using this thing and it's still going strong. I charge it about every 2 to 3 weeks depending on if I take any weekend rides or not. I usually don't run music in it the whole time if I'm on a long ride, but that's because my phone won't last, not to do with the unit not lasting. The unit is on the whole ride though incase i get a call. Radio works just as good as a car radio. You have to remember what each button does on the unit, so that's kind of a bummer if you don't have a phone mount, but it's really no big deal. Connects automatically to my phone. If you have a pan America, it connects easily to the bike as well. I took it off that though and just go through my phone because it's not my only bike, but the controls on the bike work well to control the unit. Just annoying to connect it to the phone again when switching bikes, so I just leave it connected to my phone. Oh and being water resistant is the main reason I picked Cardo. I've been in some gnarly weather, and didn't even have to think twice about the unit thankfully because I was more worried if I'd make it through the insanely deep water in the road. Had a day a couple months ago where the water was over my pegs on the Pan am. Couldn't believe it was that bad, but I didn't really have a choice as there was no where to pull over so I had to keep going. This thing didn't even bat an eyelash. Just kept me entertained till I got home. Called my wife to warn her without taking the helmet off too as I was soaked through all my clothes, even my waterproof jacket. Highly recommend this thing.

Volume control wheel is a poor design and a safety concern for me
I would not recommend this unit to anyone, i have found the device causes safety concerns while operating. I have had more heart pounding holy s*** moments with this devices volume maxing out every time I look over my left shoulder and I mean every-time. honestly it’s the only real safety concern I have had with the unit that I have found I wish there was volume lock to prevent this from happening especially on the highway at speed in rush hour traffic.
