I need size 5-6. Which should I choose, med or large?

No I would suggest a small. Ordered this for my Grandson for Christmas in a medium and it was huge. Fit like a size 12. The difference between the small and medium is way off. Can't imagine what the large would be.

I purchased the medium for my 5 year old who weighs 41 pounds and is about 43inches Tall. He's thin and tall. I found that the medium fit him with space for clothing underneath. I was going to pick the small but I'm glad I didn't.

My son is much smaller, he's 4 and very short and skinny (40 inches tall, 30.5 pounds). I bought him this costume in a size S and it fits ok, so I guess you should buy it in a size L and fold it in the arms and hold it with the belt if its a little long... The costume comes with boots that are sown to the actual leg of the suit so it can be risky to buy a size M, it may be too short for him to wear... I really don't know how much bigger and longer each size is... I hope I've been of help!
