Great book.. great for information, especially for this who are in the metal industry (welding, civil/structural engineers) it’s a great book to advance your knowledge in the field

Arrived quickly and condition is okay.

I recommend this book for both new and experienced engineers. The author does an outstanding job of explaining terminology succinctly, yet thoroughly. I will be keeping this within reach from now on. Before I read a section in the AISC Specification, I will read this author's summary first, then get into the weeds with the Specification. Also, the visual aids in the book are worth the price alone!

I found this book in the last semester of college. This would have been useful in my structural steel classes. I am a visual learner and the Steel Manual has very little visuals. My professors also didn't do a whole lot to help us "see" what the manual was talking about. So far this book has cleared up a lot of things for me. I definitely recommend to students.

Very user friendly and easy to read. I gave it 5 stars but it needs a rank of 4.99 because it needs to be updated. This book came just prior to the newest edition of AISC and there are therefore a couple mistakes. All around though, this is the best text book I have ever had required for me in college.

This is the best Engineering book I have ever ever read. It goes into complete detail to make sure you fully understand the concepts of the steel manual. I have read a few other book on steel and I never really understood many theories/equations etc. Not anymore, I found my self thinking at least once every chapter "Wow! so that's why this whole time we've been ...". Great great book, If only I could find similar books on wood, concrete etc.

This book makes it possible to understand the AISC Steel Manual and be prepared to use it in the workforce. While in structural steel design, it helped me to make sense of all the tables, charts, and graphs in the manual in plain english. The example problems follow a step-by-step process with references to equations that are easy to follow and actually apply to real-world steel design problems. The layout of the book also includes summaries, questions for review, and descriptions and pictures which are really helpful. I highly recommend this book.
