A little learning curve
I bought these because they look very interesting to me. I have been sewing and quilting for about 60 years. I think I have tried every sewing notions and gadget that was made. I had never seen pins like this before and I just had to try them. They seem to be a little clumsy at first until I learned exactly how to position them to continue to obtain the correct 1/4 inch seam allowance. Now that I have tried them I really enjoy using them. I think these would be excellent for especially new quilters. We’re having trouble getting there seems to match precisely. This is an excellent company and their products are outstanding. They are a little pricey, but I think they’re worth it. I gave them a four star rating simply because of the learning curve. Hopefully people will give them a try and be patient. New things are always a little scary, but this one is worth it.

On the fence
Having used these pins for a quilt top with too many cornerstones, I found advantages & disadvantages.Advantages:Secure hold, the bottom fabric stays secure, accurate seam width. I can see how this would be a plus for garment making with slippery or knit fabrics. It would be very helpful with plaids or stripes. And you would need to worry about ruining fabric with glue. That said, my cornerstones were slightly off in a few spots and had I heat set with washable glue all of the cornerstones would have been perfect. The pins are easy to use & easier on the fingers compared to the other brand.Disadvantages:The price for 30 pins is high. Yes you are getting 2 pins to one head, but still pricey. The pins will not hold up to heavyweight fabrics used in garment, bags or upholstery. And again, you’ll need more than 30 on large projects and it will get expensive. Yes, you’ll have them, but do you need that many pins for other projects. The pins are a mixed bag for myself.

These pins are wonderful.
I love the pins but it would be great if the pins could be stronger, not so easy to bend.

Good quality.
I use it for matching seams in my quilting. More accurate than pins once I learned how to use them.

large holes, dark spots
I used these Magic Fork Pins on white fabric. Mistake! --the pins left dark holes on the white. They're quite thick, 0.05mm.Not only does the thickness of the pin's shaft cause large-ish holes, they are also challenging to stick into fabric. It would be easier to insert these pins into quilting cottons (to hold pressed seams open while piecing) if the pins were 0.04mm. Quite expensive at 30 forked pins for $18+
