Green Valley Superfoods Organic Aronia Berry Juice Powder, Chokeberry, Antioxidant Rich Anthocyanins (8 Ounce)USDA Organic

This aronia powder is imported from Poland, one of the largest distributors of Aronia berries. This particular product is certified USDA organic. The powder is very fine - this makes the powder easier to dissolve. I put it in my morning fruit juice or my morning smoothie. The powder is tart, not bitter, not sweet. When added to juice or yogurt, it is a dark reddish purple. The packaging is good quality and airtight. Research papers on the possible positive qualities are available through the NCBI website and I was surprised in the amount and breadth of research on aronia vis a vis memory, appetitive, diabetes and cognition. There is also ongoing research as to the viability and effectiveness of dried products. I am not inclined to be too ‘rah-rah’ about any supplements but this is a berry that my grandmother loved so I find it harmless at worst and hope that it is turns out to be quite amazing.

Fine powder, not gritty. Mixes really well with even just water, and doesn't settle out later if the glass or container with it sits for a while. Consistently a bright berry color. Has a fruity-tart taste - personally just love it.

Aronia powder dissolves easily and does not lump in storage. Excellent quality except packaging zip lock bag does not seal properly. Price is somewhat higher than other brands.

The product is okay, but I will not buy again. I take Juice Plus and will continue to do so as my supplements. Thank you. Margaret Baird
