Frommer's EasyGuide to Australia 2017 (Easy Guides)

This book should be titled "Eastern Australia". There is quite a bit of information on Cairns, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, but there is no information on Western Australia, or central Australia (except for a few pages on Alice Springs and Uluru).

So, it's great for ideas but I wouldn't agree with some of the food or lodging choices they suggest in the books. Example one restaurant suggested for Cairns was 45 minute drive outside of the city, in another city altogether. But if you're looking for suggestions or a start to planning it's perfectly ok.

I gave this book as a gift to a friend travelling to Australia. She seemed delighted with it. I liked the format.Mary Humphrey

Not enough detail. I used it as a rough guide, then got to the detail with Google and web searching

very useful.

Purchased as a gift, the recipients love the book and look forward to using it.
