I have been trying to add streaks to my hair, which is about 70% natural, virgin hair with a few inches of previously dyed hair. In addition, I posted a photo of the quarter of hair that was previously lightened about a year ago. I recently visited a salon for full highlights, which was supposed to include toning my hair to achieve a uniform effect on both sides. However, the salon did a terrible job and I didn’t want to return for color correction. I looked into boxed color correcting options, but reviews deterred me. I didn’t want to apply more chemicals to my hair and to sustain damage or dryness.This shampoo is AMAZING! Not only did I immediately see results after just one wash, it smells divine and my hair was softer, hydrated, and shinier after using the shampoo. This product is so underrated! Before trying to color correct, try this shampoo!

It’s very effective for my semi-permanent color! I had dark red/purple on my hair and then did two washes, under a heat cap each time. It’s a very light pink now! I think two more washes will have the color pretty much out!My original color was slightly lighter than my shirt I’m wearing.

Fading shampoo only works on bright colors. Used this to fade color from color depositing shampoo and barely saw a difference on 3rd wash.

This did not in any way fade my semi-permanent color. I've used it 3 times and have not seen any change at all. The shampoo smells good and is definitely clarifying, but the claims that it will fade semi permanent color are false. Disappointed I spent this much money with no visible results. I had to use an expensive conditioning treatment to counteract the very drying nature of this shampoo as well. I do not recommend this product to fade semi permanent color.

So I bought this product knowing I would be playing around with temporary hair color and makeup. I first used this when a toner went wrong (turned my blonde hair gray/brown) with minimal results. It smells horrible, left my hair feeling dry and crunchy, and it barely removed any of the cool tones from my hair. I figured ok, that was semi-permanent color and not what this product was for.When I attempted to remove the absolutely temporary color from my hair, I again saw poor results. This time, it mostly did the job but I still had pink in my hair for weeks. The color did not fade out with this product like it says it would. It did get most of the color out but not all.I would not recommend this product because it is way too expensive to leave your hair thirsting for moisture and still color pigmented.

It works but it takes multiple washes to see any change. Wash in hot water and wash more than once each time, you will eventually see faded color. I dyed my hair with xmondo.

As anyone who has dyed their hair blue before knows, it's next to impossible to remove blue. I've done 4 rounds of this shampoo, and each time it takes a significant amount of color out. I will say, use more product, I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and used a quarter sized amount per section. And I did leave it sit for 5-10 minutes vs the recommended 3min on the bottle. This makes my hair Shiney and smells great, it is a little drying but nothing a good leave in conditioner can't fix. If your hair has damaged from bleaching, I'd say skip a day or two in between using this multiple times. Overall bang for your buck as a chemical free way to remove direct dye.

After dying my hair black consistently for over a year I wanted to go blonde again and this shampoo literally stripped all the color out from my hair within 2-3 months it worked AMAZING!!!
