I really like this item since I have been wanting to get one of these for a while, but the prices seemed a bit high for something that is a set and forget item, even though it is very useful. The image is of a full barrel of diesel fuel and this item is supporting it very well without flexing. The castors are really nice quality and roll around the shop with ease with a full load. The price is also much better than what I was seeing in the past for similar item. I'm sure it will last longer than I will. Your mileage may vary.

I use these as mobile bases for my waste barrels in my woodshop on YouTube, Trap Door Woodworks. In the next few weeks I will be making what I call the 'Garbench' — a mobile barrel with a small workbench on top. Some of these barrel castors are too large or small, and I have found these to be just right for a normal 55 gal drum. In the end, all of my mobile barrels will be a small workbench as well!

The problem with this product are the hex bolts. They are to long and prohibit proper operation. If you install the hex bolts as shown in the listing they block the casters from turning. There is another review here with a video and you can see and hear the casters grinding against the tile floor. Astonishingly, the reviewer says it is perfect. what? The bolts are 8Mx12mm and they should be 8Mx8mm but guess what, that is not a common size. I had to cut the bolts down with a bandsaw. If you cut the bolts down to a max height that does not exceed the height of the nut, the casters will just clear the nut. However, if you flip the orientation so the nut is facing the sky and the hex bolt is on the bottom, the bolt sticks up so much it will damage the drum. My water drums are plastic and so I can't have that. To make the product acceptable I had to cut the bolt length down to 6mm-8mm and and because the hex bolt head faces the sky and is uneven I cut a piece of plywood to provide a smooth even surface for the barrel. I suspect metal drums won't have this problem but the manufacturer didn't outline issues for plastic drums.

Water storage barrel moves with ease. Great deal.

Had to modify this due to my stacks being low to my bbq drum. It was easy. Makes moving my 55 gallon bbq drum easier.
