Pretty impressive gadget...hefty in your hand, attractive and works well. I bought this to use it to heat fishing hooks before bending - I tie my own fishing flies and open flame around fur, feathers, and adhesives didn't seem like too good of an idea.It works well for the task...pay attention to where the arcs hit the hook and you can focus heat on a smaller area of the hook than you can with flame.

I got this for my step brother who is a smoker. With few smoking establishments left, he would constantly need to go outside to smoke and always complained that the wind would blow out his lighter. He also complained about forgetting to buy a new lighter when his ran low on fuel. He loves this. Its got some weight to it, no flimsy plastic lighter here, feels durable. And an apparent bonus is he mentioned that the instructions state that it can take up to two hours to charge, but says his charges in about 5 minutes.

Very cool lighter. It works as intended, and the battery life is pretty good. My only complaints are the noise (kinda expected that one), and for some reason it smells kinda funky. Not sure if that's just because its new. Overall a great product for the price.

Bought this 3 months ago and it has been working fine. But now, the charging port in the lighter has gotten loose and it will only charge for a few seconds/minutes at a time.

It fired right out of the box. Looked cool, but couldn't get it to burn a piece of paper. It just put a hole in it. After the initial charged ran out, I put it on its usb charger for several hours. Next day I tried using it but it never would fire up again. I don't know why, so I will be returning it.

Grounds/shorts out in moisture and in the cold, so there is something not secure or properly isolated in the circuitry/battery....but stick it in your pocket for a few minutes and warm it up and it works like a champ. I expect it to stop working someday and I'll have to tear it apart to figure out what it is to fix, but for over a year now, just keep dry at ambient room temp, don't store it on an outside back deck and its flame on. Really nice not to have to worry about wind or breeze snuffing out the flame. Battery lasts about a week on a full charge. I'd buy again for the price, but, the connections could be better.Uniform side bonuses...burns off the Irish pennants and fuzz balls with ease and cauterizes the polyester thread so that it doesn't show or fray apart again. Almost better then the disposable razor trick.

This electric lighter is so awesome!. The battery lasts a long time, and I don't have to mess around with butane or lighter fluid anymore. The electric current light that comes out in the shape of an "X" looks so sick. This lighter feels it's made of quality. I guess my only complaint would be that it's recommended to only keep on for up to 5 seconds, but it looks so cool that I want to keep it on longer and just look at it. Also, it kind of looks and sounds like a Taser and so I kind of want to press it on myself, but that wouldn't feel good I'm assuming. lol. The price is awesome too, at the store they can go for nearly triple! The arc gap is a bit small, but it works extremely well. Hard to light a cigarette while driving or half paying attention. It's got a good charge life and very cool to show off at a party. No problems with it turning on in your pocket it doesn't zap you and has a 5 second cut off so you can't drain the battery on accident
