Great tool but wish it was more affordable
I was previously a 4th grade teacher. When was oldest was younger, he had to go to speech therapy and in between our therapy session, I would work with him at home. I had these sequencing cards that I got through Learning Resources and really liked them. Now my son is older and no longer in speech therapy but my daughter is three and I want to work with her. I am one of those parents who feels like working with speech benefits all children, especially if you do it in a no pressure situation, kind of like "Hey, let's take a look at these cards. Oh! I wonder what this kid is doing? What do you think will happen next?" I like that these cards reflect the diversity of our population. I like that it is something we can work together or she can do it on her own. I like that you can use the cards in a variety of lessons - in fact in comes with ideas and suggestions on how to use them. I like everything about it except for one thing: The cost. Fifty Dollars is quite a chunk of money considering you're just getting 116 cards that looks like postcards. Especially when there are comparable products that are much more affordable. So yes I recommend it, but maybe wait until there's an awesome sale.

Great for speech therapy and more!
These cards are great for therapy - discussing what happens next, putting steps in order. We also use them with our ASD son by adding some velcro on the back and using as a picture communication technique and helping him understand more some steps in his day. I love all of the Stages cards, we have many sets and they are durable and good quality. If I had to say anything bad, it would be that the pictures are sometimes too outdated.

Sequencing Events Up to 10
These cards come in a nice, sturdy box ready to travel to your therapy. They are a bit smaller at 31/2' by 5" than other traditional photo cards that are similar. The pictures are bright and have a variety of people represented. On the back, you can write data (date introduced, date mastered and sequencing, telling stories etc). Most therapists use these cards for a multiple of clients however, so copying the back and making sheets would be better. I think for the price, the card stock isn't strong enough. These are about the thickness of a real photo ..maybe slightly thicker. If you have used cards for years, you know how they wear. This may be a great set for a personal tutor to use with one student. Suitable for adults as well.

Great photos and sequences
I love these for my 5 yr old son. He has a developmental delay and has problems with associating words with the world around him. These cards have high quality photos. My son is able to understand and sequence most of the scenarios. My 3 yr old daughter also likes trying them. She's not perfect, but she's starting to understand sequencing, which is great.

Great for children with ASD & young writers
These cards have been extremely helpful when working with my son with ASD. I spread out a set of cards and see if he can put them order. Afterwards, we talk about each step. They can also be used with young writers as a great picture writing prompt.

Missing cards
I gave this two stars only because the sequences are nice and the cards are fairly nice. However, I went through the set and there are at least 20 missing cards. Make sure you go through your whole box to make sure you have all the pictures.

Great to use with students!
I love the 4-6 sequence cards the best! I found the 10 step sequences way too difficult for my students, though. These cards are great for eliciting language. The pictures seem a little out dated and I don't like that they are all thrown in the box without dividers... it makes it difficult to find what I am looking for. With that being said, I still give them 4 stars.
