In today's world, I see lots of children who are very lacking in the values I was taught as a young child growing up in the world. This young 9-year old, is the granddaughter of a very dear friend, and I know she will love the encouraging stories about different youngsters. The cover is beautifully illustrated, and that alone was almost enough to seal the deal for me. I can't wait to see the child's reaction to the book.

8 year old loves the stories, positively written and underpins confidence growing in young girls

I gave this book as a present to a 12 year old girl. She loves the stories about amazing and courageous girls. It's quite easy to read, too, so I would recommend it also for girls learning English at school.
