I purchased this product because I had ordered a clear Proline lexan body for the Slash 2wd and the instructions said I needed Body mount extenders.This looked like it fit my needs, however when I got the product I noticed that this mount kit uses small plastic and brass Screw-on Caps to hold the body down. The top mounts are threaded rods instead of the rounded off posts with a horizontal hole for a clevis pin.This is not a bad thing, just not what I expected. A few concerns is, if I loose one , can I buy the caps without having to buy a full body mount kit, will the top threaded metal posts scratch the underside of the body when you try to mount it and will the Caps stay on while running the truck. They may vibrate loose, but there is a small O ring on each post to prevent that somewhat.The mount structure is rock solid and my son asked me if these towers might break. I told him to try and break the empty leftover plastic tree the parts came on and he twisted and twisted and could not break the plastic the parts are made from.Overall I like the design but haven't used this enough to decide if it's any better than the pin method of holding the body on the truck.here is a link that shows the mounts added to a slash 2wd in preparation for adding an aftermarket body and painting:[...]

These did lift the body, but not as much as I had hoped. I will still need to do a little body trimming to clear my new trenchers. One thing I would suggest is when putting in the screws to adjust the height, stick and allen wrench in the back side to keep the hole centered. It's very easy to shove the screw through a flat part of the bar as the turning force required feels the same either way.

I love the adjust ability, buttttt.... these things go flying off real quick ( the screw caps) wen u wipe out. I lost one n had to go lookin for it several times. The. Finally lost one for good. So now i have to order new caps cuz i lost one.

hard to install

Like most people, I got these to raise my Slash higher than the stock body mounts will allow. I would not buy these if I didn't need to raise it since I don't think they offer much additional benefit.The plastic is a little softer and more pliable than the stock mounts, and maybe a little softer than I would like. This will definitely keep them from breaking, but they allow a little more movement in the body than I want.

Easy to install on my slash 2WD, I like the screw on body retainers. Thinking of buying this for my other RC cars.

Id like to review this product. But mine still hasnt been delivered.(days late) I have seen the mounts. A friend has them. They seem to be good quality. Durable. Priduct good. Shipping not soo good.
