GREAT LOOKING, STURDY UNIT WITH GREAT FEATURES!
I wish it were more affordable, but it has been well worth the investment for me.I'm writing this as this unit is not well known but is a very useful and functional one. I've had this running split between a 2012 MacBook Pro, and 2013 MacMini with no issues to a 4K UHD Samsung TV, using and Steel Series (wired) full keyboard and logitech wireless mouse. I've also run it split between an (older) HP DP series home theater Laptop and previous mentioned Macs with no problems.- To address an issue I've seen in another review regarding Dual monitor setups, I'll just say that the best way to go about them is input and output via Thunderbolt and/or Thunderbolt to HDMI/HDMI to Thunderbolt depending on if you are going from a Mac or PC. Those using Thunderbolt ported monitors can chain more than two if done right.- PROs: Handles 4K with no problems and looks great! Very solid construction!- CONs: Switching between inputs can sometimes take a few seconds (especially on sleeping units) and wireless keyboards/mice may tend to lag a bit when connected thru the unit (the best work around for combatting wireless mouse lag I found is using a wired keyboard with a built in USB port and plugging the wireless mouse dongle into the keyboard :).Otherwise, I've had it for a couple of years now and it looks and works great!I hope this helps you see this unit in a favorable light!

Disappointing Features of OWC Thunderbolt 2Dock and Poor compatibility with USB-C.
A little disappointing that this Thunderbolt Dock from OWC is only strictly compatible with Thunderbolt and NOT USB-C although the latter shares the same port size. Was hoping to switch seemlessly, the same PC accessories between my desktop PC and laptop, but the dock is unable to connect with the latter's USB-C port.To qualify the above, the dock is Thunderbolt 2 and my PC ports are of Thunderbolt 1. Fortunately these are able to work with the PC due to Thunderbolt 1 and 2 sharing the same port size. Connection speeds are fast and even faster than the internal SATA interface connections with my SATA HDDs.For my laptop, I bought various USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 convertors, being that of Apple brand, and other 3 party brand convertors hoping to interface correctly, my laptop's USB-C port with the dock's Thunderbolt 2 portl but this however was not possible.Other grouses include the sudden voltage drops when switching between option 1 and option 2 on the dock. Plainly, option 2, being button 2, the now empty 2nd PC option automatically supposes to turn off the devices when selected on the dock. I had the experience of seeing my USB HDD suddenly give off a snapping sound when switching from PC 1 (linked to my desktop) and PC 2 (currently unlinked to any PC and therefore empty, and used as a convenient option to turn 'off' devices connected to the dock). This is, as mentioned, probably due to the sudden voltage drop by the dock when switching from PC 1 to 2 and vice-versa.Best solution is to upgrade current Thunderbolt 2 PC's and go straight and strictly for Thunderbolt devices like Apple only, or pre-select specific Thunderbolt only options if intending to use this OWC Thunderbolt dock as an option for switching PC computers amongst the various devices.

Great on paper
Great on paper. Doesn't appear to actually support dual display though. The moment you insert the HDMI cable, the Thunderbolt display becomes disconnected.

Best KVM thunderbolt dock to date!
Have been using this for a week now with no issues. Its been great having two monitors and two computers, the option to just click a button and switch between the two is a great thing! No issues thus far.
