Not Impressed
These lights look exactly like my old ones, which had lasted several years but finally died. I'm not impressed with these new ones. The light is a sickly yellow, quite dim. I need night lights for two reasons: I need to be sure our old dog can find his way out of the bedroom at night to get to his newspaper in his "potty room" on the far side of the kitchen (he's a little guy). He gets out all right because the overhead light in that room is always on and assists in lighting the way once he reaches the bedroom door, but the light from the night light coming back into the bedroom is so poor I've seen him hesitate before he heads for his blanket on my husband's side of the bed. I also wanted it so I can see where he is in the middle of the night when I go to bed (insomnia) or get up again. He tends to move around as much as I do, and he's so small I'm afraid I might injure him if my foot were to hit him. I had no concerns with the old night lights, but now I actually keep a small flashlight near the TV by the bedroom door so I'll be sure to see him. And the night light is right by the door! Without the flashlight, if I step out of the bathroom at night, my first impression is that the night light must have burned out. Nope. I keep leaving it plugged in, figuring just maybe it might make the difference in a pinch, but I should probably save the electricity; I wish I'd saved the money by not buying these lights.

Needs better photosensor
The photosensors are not that amazing. In a well lit room (daylight bright,) the bulb is still somewhat illuminated. That means it's constantly on, using power. I put LED bulbs in so it's minimal but still annoying. If you keep the incandescent bulbs in, be mindful that this always on at a low state will prematurely wear the bulbs and also could be a heat risk. It's interesting how the sensor isn't binary: it's either light or dark like other similar devices; if it's dark the bulb is fully powered state, if it's not dark enough the bulb is in a no power state. No, this one has degrees of sensitivity and then relative power outputs related to that: If it's sort of dark, the bulb will be sorta of lit; if it's darker, the bulb will be more lit.

Cheaply made. One didnt work at all.
Unfortunately, these seemed cheaply made. One didnt work at all. The bulb did not screw in smoothly into the other one. We did get it to work, but the lamp feels flimsy. They are nothing like they used to be. In years past, these night lights lasted a good long time, replacing only the bulb periodically. How I wish I could say the same for these. We have night lights placed in several spots in the house. It is getting tougher and tougher to find a good one that works with an incandescent bulb. Led lights are simply not the same. They do not last long and you have to wastefully throw away the entire fixture. I wish GE would get quality control working on these. I'd buy a handful.

DIM, YELLOW light.
DIM, YELLOW light. I know it is. a "night " light and you don't want to illuminate the entire room, but still...A night light that is manually turned off with a switch versus this sensor, with the same 4W bulb, puts out more light than this one and less yellow. Does photosensor have any affect? Is something different with the wiring?Going to try different bulbs and hoping for a somewhat brighter whiter light. If not, these are going back!Does anyone know how to get a night light that isn't yellow and puts out somewhat more light? UGH!AND, I had just tried one light out of the package. Went to try the other one and the bulb is broken at the base itself and wiggles in the socket.

Love these! The light is so easy on the eyes like a nice candle!
MUCH better than LED nightlights IMO. The ones we received are actually a little more modern and better looking than the picture. They are curved around the top, not square, which I definitely like better. The light is so easy on the eyes like a nice candle... and the light-sensing feature works well. We switched to these from "yellow" LED night lights which were still a bit harsh on our eyes. Love these!

Cheap and really unusable
We were hoping for a lot more than what we got but it was a cheap product so should have been a warning to us. They came with one light blinking frantically and then it burned out within 10 minutes of being plugged in and they do not shut off automatically (you have to unplug them). They put off barely enough light to even be considered a night light. Will not purchase again and cannot with good conscience recommend them to others.

NEVER SHUT OFF...even during the day in full light
When purchasing I was looking for a dim night light that would basically just illuminate the path to and from beds for toddler. I put one in his room, one in ours. Neither ever shut off even if full light. Very annoying. We are still using one, just because I haven't gotten around to finding a replacement but took the one in his room out and replaced with one that needs to be manually turned on and off... which is what I didn't want as it's easy to forget it on.

The night lights are okay but their sensors are not ...
The night lights are okay but their sensors are not. The light only turns off under a very bright light is shining directly on them at a certain angle (ie: flashlight). They stay on the whole time even when the ceiling lights are ON in our bedroom and living room, which still consumes electricity needlessly and could heat up and be a fire hazard if ON all the time. The whole reason I bought these is for their ability to stay off during the day and since that's not working, I'll definitely be returning these.
