Really strong . Always use gloves to use this product because it irritates and burns your skin . But I love it , you just need some water to mix with and it cleans really well. I use it for cleaning my range stoves and also perfect when your sink is stuck .

Caustic soda, wear safety equipment and research the correct dilution. This stuff in solution in a spray bottle keeps my Weber grill looking new inside and out.

I used this product for soap making, but it does not behave at all like lye (sodium hydroxide). My first attempt at using it, I combined it with the last bit of sodium hydroxide from a different brand that I had made soap with many times. It bubbled violently when I added it to the water (which has never happened in my 10 years of soap making). It also never dissolved--it stayed a cloudy white which eventually settled. Thinking it was a contaminate I didn't see in my container, I tried mixing it a second time. The second time I tried to use it, I did the same as the first but in new containers. This time it did not sputter like before, but it did produce a white precipitate again (it was clear for a bit, but then more white sediment appeared at the bottom). Even more strangely, it didn't even get warm--it stayed cold!
