These are super great bags, when I'm smoking meats! I place the finished hot meat in these bags, and then inside a cooler for an hour to let the juices flow back into the meat! They are cheaper,, and work excellent for this, although I only need one hour max use from them.. They work excellent

If you have over a 20 lb turkey, these are the perfect bags for it! We had a 24 lb turkey for Thanksgiving and I knew that the Reynolds XL Roasting Bags would not work after finding that out last year.I wet brine my turkeys overnight and I swear by roasting them in a bag as opposed to basting. Do it! You will NOT be disappointed! I have never had a dry bird putting them in bags and when I discovered brining it amped up the compliments tremendously.I am a baker by trade and choice and I learned how to cook via PBS cooking shows. Mom did not let us in the kitchen when she cooked so I was very inexperienced when I got married, but I always remembered that my mom and grandma bag roasted their birds and they were ALWAYS tender and juicy.You get 10 bags in the box so I will have 9 more years with a delicious bird! I hope that they keep selling them so when I need more I can get them.The price was fair for the quantity and quality. And I highly recommend them for any large quantities of of roasting meals.

These are GREAT bags and very strong NYLON bags which makes them "odor-proof" for backpacking and camping so animals don't smell your food as easily. I also use them to line 5 gallon buckets to store flour so I can buy high protein pizza flour in 50 lb bags for the price of 20 lbs at a market. Only downside is that they are just a little too small for a 5 gallon bucket but you can pull hard and streatch it over the lip of the bucket but it's a little bit of work for you hands if you have arthritis or a something. I'm not sure where Amazon is getting these bags because the manufacturer did not make it past the Covid crises and is no longer in business (no phone and no email) and they were a great family business. No new contact info either so I bought extra bags this time. I'm just worried they these bags might disappear from the market. They use to make 55g drum liners as well. I also have the small turkey roasting bags.

Excellent, durable product. The Goose size was perfect for brining a 20 pound turkey. Put a layer of ice on the bottom of a round insulated water dispenser, put the bag in (with turkey and cold brine), and put some more ice on top of the sealed bag so the ice does not dilute the brine.

Brined my turkey in one and then baked it. I have to confess I put it in a new bag to bag because I didn't want to fool with cleaning out the brine bag and getting it dry enough to add the required flour. Worked wonderfully. Nice to have a turkey bag that easily holds the turkey....yes, this was a goose bag but it worked great for a large turkey.

Would have been fine had I grown smaller turkeys. However the bags were of good quality.

I cannot say enough good things about these bags! We raise our own turkeys and give them to friends and family as gifts. With these bags, we can have them brined, seasoned, and ready to just pop in the oven. They are awesome

I purchased these bags looking for something to assist with brining a turkey I am going to smoke for Easter dinner. I purchased a 5 gallon food grade pail but with this bag I can keep the brine better contained and by tying the top it keeps the turkey totally submerged which is key when brining. It will also make the cleanup much easier.The goose size bags were just big enough for the 5 gallon pail but I had to stretch the top to get it to fit over the complete rim of the pail. It did work no problem though. I made up my brine, poured it into the pail, added the turkey and tied off the bag. At the time of writing this there were no leaks and it was working exactly as I needed it to. I'll add an update once I remove the turkey and can see how the bag held up.Please keep in mind that I doubt these bags are designed to be used to hold a bird and brine without any support like in a roasting pan, pail, etc. These are meant to keep the liquid confined to a space, not support the weight of a large bird and water. I've read other reviews of people attempting to move bags full of brine and bird, they won't support this. They are basic plastic bags after all. and that is asking for trouble.Update - the bag worked perfectly and didn't leak at all. Turkey turned out great and I'll brine from now on. These bags are great!

I cooked turkey for Christmas using this bag. I stuffed turkey with apples & lemon. The result was great! Turkey was golden brown, juicy, delicious! And I didn't have to watch it all the time - to pour with juice, cover it, etc.. That's a great practical thing - these bags!

I believe that these are bigger than the last time I purchased them and they are definitely built with the same high quality material. These are thicker and less likely to tear than many other brands.

Good for cooking a goose or for replacing your Storz & Bickel Volcano bags. They are roughly 3/4 the size of a pillow case to give you an idea on the size.
