LenovoThinkpad Mini Dock Series 3 (433710U)

I ordered the dock because I am a college student that is always on the go and use my lenovo for coding and such. I needed a way to quickly plug my laptop up to a larger monitor, printer, etc etc. I LOVE this thing. It literally is as easy as the push of a button. No longer do I need to fumble around pulling all the cords out of my computer when I need to go to class or the library. The time savings alone make this worth it, add in the fact that it takes away the frustration of finding cords and managing a bundle or cables everytime you come back from a long day of class.INFO:--It has a digital display port that allows me to plug into my TV in my room as well. (Get the digital display port to HDMI adaptor. 100% worth it.--It has 6 USB ports and doesn't cover any of the ports on my t510. I was worried it might cover my USB 2.0 which I need.--Mine came with a key to lock in the computer. Not a big deal for me, but if you use it at a place that is not 100% secure its useful.--It has a VGA and DVI outputs--ethernet port--headphone and microphone portsAnother feature that is very important to me is that it leaves room for fan exhaust. I have seen docking stations at my work that partially block the exhaust! This can lead to overheating especially when running high graphics on a HD monitor.Shipping:Mine arrived in two days and it wasn't even the Amazon Prime product. I got mine used, but was well worth the price I paid. It looks brand new.

This product has all the features I needed. My goal was to have more USB ports and 2 digital displays (Display port + DVI port) and this product does just that. it takes up very little space on the desk and now gives me the options to walk way with my laptop without the need to unplug everything - it all remains connected to the doc. Easy come, easy go.

I wanted to replace my obsolete desktop and laptop with a laptop and a docking station. Dell and HP tried to sell me port replicators as docking stations but I wouldn't bite. I finally called Lenovo and they offered the Thinkpad and the Mini Dock Series 3. I bought the Thinkpad from Lenovo but saved over $65 by buying the docking station from Amazon. I have been using it for two months now and it works exactly as I envisioned. My corded mouse, 22 inch monitor, and stereo speaker system are permanently attached (the keyboard is wireless) and the Thinkpad is very easy to attach and remove. I have rated it 4 stars because it is a little flimsy but is fine in its position on my desk. The attachment scheme is ok but weak. My grandson once picked up the laptop and the docking station fell on the floor.Once again, the Mini Dock does exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with it.

Note: I bought a used version of this, so my comments might not apply to a brand new unit.Overall this works as advertised with no issues and makes connecting my computer to my work setup much easier. My work did not provide docks, so I decided to buy one for myself. My one complaint is that if I bump my desk, it can cause it to come loose which shuts off my monitors, disconnects my USB (and therefore the headset which can be problematic if I'm on a call), and then takes a few seconds to reset. I've mitigated by putting it on the back of my desk where it's harder to bump.

Arrived in perfect condition, works as advertised with my T430

Just purchased this for my thinkpad X220 but USB ports not working so I had to spend few hours to find solution. It turned out to be some USB driver issue but it was lot of trial and error... .Here is what I had to do===================Updated BIOS , Updated drivers for USB 3.0 Support and other chepset related issues, Applied few Updates from Lenovo... My OS totally crashed after all these so had to go through auto recovery. I also enabled USB always ON feature in BIOS.After all these mess something did the trick .. Finally all my USB ports started working in Mini Dock... What a pain. If you face same issue then make sure all drivers are upto date and you applied Lenovo recommended patches (specially USB related).

I work from home and needed the ability to hook my Lenovo T530 up to my dual monitors. Plus I occasionally travel and didn't want to deal with too many cables when returning to or leaving my office. Having this dock was an absolute must for me.My only complaint (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the display port connection is sandwiched between the DVI connector and the power jack. I had to search around for a Display Port to DVI adapter that would fit. I highly recommend getting a 6" dongle-type. A basic adapter just will not fit in here.

Il dispositivo funziona perfettamente per il mio Lenovo T430. Peccato che non mi hanno mandato la chiave della serratura che blocca il pc alla dock station 😢
