Quality seems to have changed
Not sure whether it’s the notebook I purchased but the quality doesn’t seem to be as good as the other notebook I used. The paper feels like a lot more rigid when writing... very odd !

Sehr hochwertiges Notizbuch
Absolute Kaufempfehlung!

Decent enough, but could be improved
I got this because I needed a Tomoe River notebook with dot graph. I think it's a decent enough notebook, but having tried a lot of notebooks I have a list of things that could be improved. I'm not going to talk about the paper; there are many good and detailed reviews of Tomoe River paper in all line weights and colors. What I like:- the cover material. It's most likely imitation leather, but it feels like high quality material.- endpaper material. It's not TR paper, but can take ink quite well- color optionsWhat I don't like:- the logo and the fact that it's hugely printed both on the cover and on the endpaper- the font choices in the logo and in the index pages, etc.- the cover, being soft cover, would be better if it were the same size as the notebook pages themselves. Currently, it extends out like 2 mms and feels a bit weird.- it would be much better if the text in the index page was gray-ish and more subtle instead of jet black (Leuchtturm has the ideal design for this)- dots are too thick. almost twice as large as what Rhodia or Leuchtturm has.- the bookmark ribbon is a bit too stiff. it doesn't bend too easily. The ideal stiffness would be those found in moleskines.- the notebook could be a bit thicker. I know that 68 gsm is thinner than what typical notebooks have, but it's common for TR notebooks to have up to 480 pages at 50 gsm (see nanamipaper, for instance). It'd be great if the notebook was 50% thicker, both for aesthetic and practical reasons- price/performance ratio: at 192 pages, it costs the same as the 480 page nanamipaper notebooks. The heavier paper weight and the cover material would increase the cost, but not as much as a 288 page difference. My reason for going for this notebook rather than nanami paper notebooks is that shipping was free (which is crazy expensive for nanami paper) and dot grid was available (unlike nanami).

Great but expensive
When I first started journaling and bullet journaling I wanted the thickest paper with zero ghosting. I always shuddered when people said they loved ghosting. Then I got sick of carrying around heavy journals in my purse, and I had switched to mostly fountain pens. That's when I found Tomoe River paper. I knew I had to have a notebook with this paper.I love the thickness of this journal. It's slim and lays very flat. The paper is perfect for fountain pens. It takes up less than half the space as my last journal with the same amount of paper.I did knock a star off for the price of the journal. While this is a bit more expensive paper, I feel like the price point is still high. I have quite a few notebooks every year and this won't be fun to pay often. The binding seems sturdy. The cover material is nice/quality. I love the index that's built in. The ribbon is poor quality but no biggie.

Bit Expensive but Great Notebook and Customer Service
Great notebook. This is the 2nd one I have purchased. The 1st one had a couple very small things wrong with it and I received great customer service when I reached out to them. This one is near perfect. It has my favorite paper configuration(white 68gsm dot grid Tomoe River). I also love that I can get it to lay perfectly flat. Its a nice soft cover and the paper is attached very well. I am constantly bending it over on itself to get it to lay flat and I have not lost any pages as a result.
