Good DVD of Lemmy and Motorhead 25 yrs on.
GREAT picture quality and sound for a DVD played in a BD player. When too many guest guitars get on stage at the same time, you can't hear them but that's a minor quibble. All in all a good if not great DVD for my collection. As received this DVD is not correct region code for US players but i have a Oppo that it played in fine. Just got a new US Sony that it played in as well. Lots of songs ive either never heard before or never heard (seen) before live. Never got to see the lads play live. I had the opportunity back like 40 years ago and I regret that I didnt go. Here's the next best thing.

This DVD rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This DVD is a must have for any MOTORHEAD fan, and at the time marked the 25 th anniversary of the band in a special concert at the Brixton Academy London England, october 22, 2000.This DVD is very special for the extra features that includes an acoustic version of the classic "Ain't no nice guy" by lemmy and phil (awesome) plus the complete music videos for "sacrifice" and " god save the queen" rarely played on the video music channels on the american market, Backstage interviews with all the members of the band and the road crew, 4 extra songs at a festival " live at wacken open air", also a special gallery motorhead members past and present described by lemmy. The difference between this one and "stage fright"( both great) , is that you could have the oportunity to see and listen different set of songs of the band because motorhead have an extensive material of songs. The special guest invited to this show : Brian may (queen), Doro pesch (Doro), eddie " fast" clarke (motorhead early days). Also please check the song "bomber" in wich they have the legendary bomber airplane on the set, is amazing and the light effects pretty cool. This is like the DVD tittle a total BONESHAKER.

Dang, the DVD doesn't work here!
Would have given 3 1/2 stars if the DVD played on US DVD players as I was led to believe but just because it says Region 0 doesn't mean it will play everywhere. This is PAL Region 0 and will play on all PAL systems but not on any NTSC players. However, last night I loaded it into my computer and it played just fine because most all computers play PAL as well as NTSC discs ...... and so that's a nice lil pearl of wisdom for those of us who bought this DVD hoping to play it on our home systems but were sorely disappointed to learn it wouldn't play.Okay .... so I finally watched it last night and was overall quite disappointed due to terrible sound quality and hyperactive switching of camera angles, I guess to try and match the intense energy of the musicians on stage .... Epic Fail ..... unless you like looking into a strobe light, lol. (sigh)But the audio is just awful because of over-compression .... the sound techs screwed-up on the front end and recorded too hot and the only way to fix the final result was to turn the overall volume way down.So another way to explain it, it's kinda like your cable-box volume is set to one or two and so you have to turn your TV volume all the way up just to hear it and it sounds awful due to the conflicting setup. But other than all that, it's a great show .... but it's too bad it's just so difficult to enjoy.

it;s a bomber
Twenty five alive, dvd. It's motorhead. If your a true motorheadbanger, this is for you. Watch on large screen tv. with surround sound, it's the next best thing to being there. It's put out on a german label, will play on any machine. The first 20 songs are prettys much the usual set list, God save the queen, You better run & broken, the exceptions. The last three are well worth the wait. Bomber. Ace of spades & Overkill, done just so right. Accompanied by the bomber (HE 111), from thier early tours. These songs not recorded @ same venue as previous 20. they were shot @ european outdoor festival. Lighting is very good as bomber set hovers feet above band. Lemmy, Phil & mikkey are very electric during these songs. The last, Overkill, has guest guitarists. Fast Eddie among others. Brian May appears also, to this day I've no idea why. That aside I like the hell out of this DVD. There is never a bad Motorhead song, only poorly produced ones

Best next thing to being there!
I read all the mixed reviews on this dvd. Took my chances and bought the dvd anyway. I was not disappointed and would recommend it to anyone reading this review. This dvd has so many Motorhead songs from over the years on it. The cameras do cover alot of ground at this historic show but it's no different than most concert dvds I've seen. The pace of the camera movement is only noticable if your looking for it. Just adjust the tone control on your sound system and let the volume rip. This concerts soundtrack is what home theatre is all about and makes this dvd worthwhile for this rocker.

Glad I bought it!
I purchased this after I purchased "Stage Fright". I found this one to be much more enjoyable. There were some parts where the camera changes get to be a bit too much but overall it's great! Guest appearances by Fast Eddie, Brian May, Doro and more.

25 years of the rock legends Motorhead from the Brixton Academy 2000.
A cracking gig by Lemmy & Co to celebrate 25 years of the rock legends Motorhead at the Brixton Academy in 2000!They were joined by special guests including " Fast " Eddie Clarke - ex member of the band, Queen axe man the legend that is Brian May and Skunk Anansie. They played a great selection from the Motorhead back catalogue, my only gripe is they didn't include their biker anthem "Iron Horse/ Born to Lose".

Absolutely superb!
Motorhead have released other live DVDs, such as 'Stage Fright' which I also own, but I think that this is their best DVD release by far. From the moment that Lemmy appears on stage, to the end of Overkill, this rocks like nothing else.Excellent set list, lots of surprises with the guest appearances, and a superlative performance on the drums from Mickey Dee. Check out his drum solo in 'Sacrifice'! Completed with a great 5.1 soundstage. This has to be in any rock/metal fans DVD collection - essential purchase.
