These came well packaged, and the bag they come in is so much better than a paper or plastic bag. I feel comfortable storing this in my pantry for years.They boiled to soft in about an hour and ten minutes. I used them in Koliva, a traditional Christian memorial dish, and they were perfect.

I appreciate that the owner chooses all natural materials for packaging ( cotton bag and cotton thread ). I use the product to make wheat berry tea which nourishes your stomach. The product is fresh and tea comes out great as expected.

It's wheat, just what i expected

I like to grind my own wheat at home to make my sourdough bread. I had been using soft white wheat berries, but it still wasn't the texture that I wanted so I decided to try some hard white wheat berries because they have a higher gluten content. I wanted to see if it made a difference. It sure did! I love using my hard white wheat! My bread was softer and not as crumbly. I also enjoyed the packaging. I liked receiving it in a flour sack.

The wheat berries weighed 3 lb and not 5 lb as advertised in product description. The quality is excellent! I will try to buy the berries from Whole Foods next time so that I am not cheated on weight.

So glad I found Palouse Brand. I use all their grain products to grind my own flour for bread. The grain is lovely--feels great underhand when working it, turns out delicious breads. Added bonus: The folks at Palouse are super helpful, nice, and responsive.

These hard white wheat berries are fantastic for grinding into homemade flour. Yeah, because of the bran, you won't get white bread; however, for a delicious loaf of light brown bread, these are the best. The flavor is fresh, nutty, and wholesome. I love that these haven't been irradiated or genetically modified. They are not certified organic, but at least they have been farmed in a certified sustainable way.
