RA AquaTech Underwater Sand Waterfall

This unit is cool if you want to do the mods to keep it running. The first one I received would run the sand out in a couple of hours, a flaw in the design, then the pump stopped. I got a replacement, the pump ran but it still would run out of sand after a little while. I made a little diverter and a small slide/tray out of clear plastic and it has run for 24 hours without running out of sand. The only issue is you have to cut the amount of sand and water way down to keep it working. I think it may have been as easy to build one from scratch.

I bought this waterfall which functions very well as intended. However, their pump vibrates and has a suction at the bottom. Two of my fish have been caught under the pump and they cannot swim away. I dont know how long they were stuck there as the pump vibrates a lot when it is plugged in. I hope the fish will live.**EDIT** Fish ended up dying the next day. Extremely sad!

Its very small and the sand stops coming out after a few hours and I had to make the intake hole smaller and add a longer tube so it would reach the side of my aquarium .I also took my dremmel and reshaped the bottom part because the sand was not falling in. It just wasn't a very good design. . But now it works good

It just dont come with enough sand. Runs well for first to mins then very little sand comes out. They should sell the sand as well as the water fall. Having a hard time finding it ..Talked to the company and very helpful with the sand.
