Bought this as a little anvil for delicate work, when I receivewd mine I immediately noticed a crack from the hole on the horn end right out to the edge, was sortr of hidden by what appears to be plated/polisheed chrome "material", underneath it's a copper/brass colour AND soft!,Hitting this with a very light jewelers hammer caused dents, in what the seller states is "hardened Steel", hmmm. Don't waste your money if you need something that can handle a bit of impact, get a cast iron anvil, this is NOT as advertised.

Perfect for jewelry making. Not the biggest but perfect for its intended use.

Even though the measurements are stated I was not prepared for just how small this anvil is. Small but perfectly formed, it is pretty much an exact copy of it's much larger cousins.The quality is great with no visible flaws and it provides a range of surfaces on which to shape jewellery.The only negative is that there is no way of fixing it down short of clamping it in a vice..A great addition to any jewellery makers tool kit.

Good weight with variety of angled surfaces and hole. Just the thing for those small metal working tasks.

Slight novelty for me, however it does come in handy at time.

Sturdy, a good weight. Handy size.

Great item, well made and Is solid. I would buy again should I have the need for another one.
