A great product - powdered egg yolks.
I had the initiative, recently, to try out making custard products from scratch, using food powders, so I was glad to find this egg yolk powder at a good price. It's a rich texture powder, and it tastes great. The powder is offered in a relatively decent size, I believe I bought the 2 lb. version. It's easy to work with and use, and it blends in to a mix perfectly, giving the effect of having added eggs to a drink or dish.

These dried egg yolks are essential for any baker!
If you're a baker, you probably make custards fairly frequently (e.g. lemon curd, pecan pie, lemon bars, etc.). Custard means you need egg yolks. It is a pain in the butt to have to separate eggs and it's wasteful to have to throw out the whites, so I freeze them. I don't use the whites as often. Every grocery store has a carton of egg whites you can buy, so when I'm in a baking frenzy (like for holidays), I just buy a carton. I thought, surely there's somewhere I can get just the yolks, and I googled that and found these. I just made lemon bars for a friend and having these dried egg yolks cut at least 10 minutes off of the time it took and eliminated the mess of separating eggs. Next I'm going to make some cranberry curd, which will be great to swirl in a cheesecake and great on toast. OMG, these are GREAT! Buy these-you won't regret it, and buy them for every baker you know!

Handy Product!
I use this in so many baked items for ease of use! 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Judee’s Gluten Free Dried Egg Yolk Powder can be added to other dry ingredients in a recipe to replace one egg yolk. Add 1 Tablespoon water to the liquid ingredients and continue on with the recipe. The powder is a golden yellow, does not alter the taste or smell, and can be added to smoothies, too. There are 85 servings of pasteurized, spray-dried egg yolks in the 24 oz. package.

Egg Protein Replaces Whey in my supplement regimen
This product was recommended by a couple friends. After a couple servings I am confident I made a good choice...no awful after-taste, and mixes well. Won't be my last purchase.

Great way to make flourless bread!
I don’t like to eat regular bread so my wife found a recipe that used only egg whites and egg yolks to make bread! No wheat! (Protein Egg Bread! The egg yolk powder is very easy to use. It’s got good taste and have convinced myself it tastes just like regular bread! The texture is a little stiffer than regular bread. Only 2 ingredients . The package is 1.5 lbs. and is a good value too.
