Wonderful Dog Food
A recently deceased friend told me about this food, Canadae Platinum. He fed his "boys" both the dry and the canned. His boys are a German Spitz and a Bichon Frise, 4/14 years old respectively. Doug said that after less than two weeks, the 14 year old was like a "new dog".I now have his dogs, fullfilling a promise, added to our Doxy and Shiba Inu ( 5/7 years respectively), three cats and 7 birds. All the dogs are now on this Canadae Platinum dry food and love it. While they used to pick at their old food, they dive into this. They also seem to get satiated faster, so they actually leave a little in the bowls. The Glucosamine/Chondroitin is the key for the older dog. A vet once recommended it for an older dog we used to have years ago. When I started taking it for my arthritic ankles, I was soon able to stop taking anti-inflamatories like Daypro. I've since found out that the medical establishment considers GC to be useless. All I can say is that it works for me, and within a few weeks of re-starting Little Boy ( the 14 year old) on this food with GC, he runs, plays and jumps with the rest of the dogs like a puppy. There are a few places in Las Vegas selling this food, all "high-end" pet food stores and all slightly more expensive. The convenience of one-click and having the food on my doorstep in a day or two is even better than the savings. We've also moved our cats over to Felidae (the feline version of Canadae) with similar results.

They're in good health but they started slowing down a little and ...
I've had dogs my whole life. Growing up my parents bought whatever store brand of dog food was convenient. Now that I have my own family and our two dogs I have a different point of view when it comes to what we all eat. I buy mostly organic, grass-fed, Non-GMO foods for me and my family and my dogs only get Canidae.I have a Rottweiler and a Boxer, both 9 years old. They're in good health but they started slowing down a little and showing signs of stiff joints. My Rottie had started getting dry skin that left a dandruff on her back, and our Boxer was plagued with bad breath. I thought they were eating quality food before (and it was the "senior" formula for joints, etc), but when I learned about Canidae I switched.First off, the dogs love it. They're not very particular about food anyway, but they do love this stuff. Second, within days I noticed that there was no longer a lag when they were getting up and their joints didn't seem to bother them at all. No more bad breath, either.I am a big believer in supporting family-owned businesses whenever possible and especially when they're producing a superior product. If you go to Canidae's website and watch the video under their About Us tab I think you'll be a convert too!

Great Senior Food!
I purchased this senior formula dog food for my 8 and 6 year old dogs. My 8 year old dog has been moving a little slower and just hasn't been himself this past year. Both of my dogs were a little overweight due to the cold months and not being as active. I switched them slowly to this food and they had no ill side effects like some foods when you first switch. It has been about a month and I have noticed that my dogs are more active and my 8 year old dog is moving much better than he was before switching. He is back to running up the stairs and jumping on the couch. Also, their coats look much shinier and their digestion seems to be benefiting as well. I took one star off of this food because my dog doesn't seem to like the taste as much as he has other foods. He usually lets it sit in his bowl for an hour or so before eating it which can be problematic with a toddler and another dog in the house. Overall, it is a great food and it is a much better price than most other higher end senior dog foods. I will continue to keep my dogs on this food and I have it on subscribe and save so I'll never run out!

Dog approved.
This is the only kibble my picky furbaby will eat. Appears to be nutritionally sound.

This just isn't right! Bugs! Not in My Dog's Stomach you don't!
My records show that I've ordered Canidae All Life Stages Premium Dry Dog Food for Less Active Dogs 31 times and a bag lasts about a month or so. I have a 13 year old, 45 pound Australian Cattle Dog and he loves the food. I wet the food for a few minutes before serving to help make it tastier and dissolve better in his sensitive stomach. I usually order a few weeks before I run out of the previous bag. So I was just into the bag when I saw bugs moving around in the bag! I figured it had been in a hot storage warehouse too long before it reached me so I just threw it out and ordered a new bag, figuring it was a fluke and probably beyond the return date. The new bag arrived in two days and I opened it up, dug in my measuring cup, and there was a bug inside! Two bags in a row, a month apart!! I did contact customer care via online texting and I got a refund, but this just isn't right! Two bags with bugs! My daughter said they were weevils, and others have reported ants and other bugs. To me, a bug is a bug and doesn't belong in my dog's stomach! Now in the process of transitioning my dog to a brand my vet suggested was just right for him and I go through the scoop of Canidae and sift out just the nuggets that look bug-free. I gave a three-star rating instead of a one-star because it really was a great dog food before the bug problem!

Dogs love it and so do I
I bought two 30 pound bags on sale. After I inspected the food, checked the ingredients, and both my dogs ate the food right away. I waited to see if their stomachs would get upset. Everything came out the next morning better than usual. Since the food is made in Texas, and the quality is exceptional, I purchased sixty more pounds, while the food was still on sale. Two weeks have gone by and both dogs are eating the food and eat less now. I have a hound dog and a bulldog and they never ate the same food. Finally, I don't have to buy different dog foods. Both dogs have shiny coats, are the correct weight, and have lots of energy. I have a winner, and I can stop buying dog foods that dogs won't eat, give them upset stomach, excessive farting, or runny poop. We are all happy now, and life has gotten a little better.
