Works good when dry not good when raining

Topens is a brand to go with. They stand by their products and do what ever is necessary to make things right. Their customer service is the best. I did have an issue with the wand but they went above and beyond to make sure to fix the problem. Definately a great company

Terrible product. I had it installed and the sensor is so weak that it won’t open the gate unless I drive very very close to it. Also it keeps opening the gate about every minute for no reason. I had called an expert to come and look at it and came to the conclusion the product was defective.

This device is supposed to measure changes in the magnetic field as metal objects (cars and trucks) come near or pass it. It fails in this task. Even when vehicles pass as close as 3 feet, it generally does not activate. This has been true for a Mazda 3, Tacoma Pickup and Audi Q7. Knowing something about the principle that it works on, I know speed (of change) matters. Even driving the cars as fast as 15mph it was still unreliable, but better. ...and yes, I tried all sensitivity settings. I had to abandon it.

Beware after three weeks the gate just kept opening by itself I turn down the sensitivity and it still open on its own with no car in sight. I thought it would fix on its own but it didn’t.
