Very nice game
Easy to learn and play. Everything complete. Players must provide up to five of their own dice. I found it a little difficult not having the detailed movements provided by the hex system with which I grew up but I persevered and enjoy this system. I will purchase some more games from this company. Those interested in WW1 in East Africa should try some of several good books on the subject. My favorite is BATTLE FOR THE BUNDU by Charles Miller. Von Lettow-Vorbeck returned to Germany a hero, the only German commander to occupy British territory during the war and commander of the only undefeated German combat force. He returned to Hamburg and commanded a freikorps during the birthing pains of the Weimar republic. He then commanded a Weimar division. Turning to politics, he was elected to the Reichstag. He opposed Hitler and the Nazis, subsequently spending WW2 and its immediate aftermath in obscurity and poverty. Both of his sons served in the army and were killed. With aid from his former British enemies, von Lettow began to prosper again after the war and was still recognized as a national hero at his death. There is much more to the story but this is a review, not a history lesson. Though it is most interesting history and well worth pursuing. Today, he is recognized as one of the masters of unconventional warfare.

Paul von Lettow Vorbek: Greatest leader of WWI
Decision Games mini series battalion level WWI action in East Africa! Quick and easy to learn game using point to point movement, dice rolls, and action cards. Great for solitaire games too. Lettow Vorbeck was rhe greatest leader of the war. He held up and engaged in guerilla style combat overwhelming British, Portuguese, Belgian, and S. African forces throughout the war AND only surrendered after the Armistice was signed!! This small scale game is fun and a glimpse into the marvel of an outstanding figure in history.

Like the rest of the Hand of Destiny system
If you like this system you’ll like this game. It is simply another similar installment. Much fewer rules ambiguities than with its sister games, Khyber Rifles or Custers Last Stand. An extra half-star for an obscure topic.Read the common biography of von Lettie-Vorbeck, it’s really good.

World War One's forgotten chapters.
Nice small simulation, with easy to learn rules, but enough historical accuracy to make for a enjoyable gaming experience.
