Awesome.
Awesome model, went together very well for the price as I got the kit version and there is a lot of upgrades you can buy and put on and install it's looking awesome. When I received the the pickup the plastic of the main body looked very dull so got myself some primer sanded the body and painted it the I wanted. It's not called a DIY model for nothing I will try an put some pics on at a later date. 😀 Very happy chappy.

Cheap little kit with fantastic looking pick-up truck body but...
Very cheap kit that for what it costs does initially seem to represent good value for money. The Toyota Hilux style body looks absolutely great but the quality of some of the other components and fixings are quite poor.As has been said before, there are many upgrades available and so you probably need to factor in spending at least as much as the initial cost of the kit again to get a usable little truck.By the time you have finished upgrading though you may well find that a RTR model in a similar scale from one of the big name brands represents better value for money in the long run.In fact you might end up, as I did, left with little more from the original kit than the bodyshell and chassis rails.

Nice rc kit
Good quality kit, instructions could be better when I'm used to Tamiya RC instructions.

Difficult and fiddly, but isn't that the point?
This car is quite a hot topic online. There are many, many modifications to be made to it and there are forums dedicated to upgrades and improvements. The instructions are awful, but it had all the required bits to put it all together, that said, the servo didn't work, but doesn't look like it would last even if it did. One thing it doesn't tell you is what to do with the LED lights it comes with. Well, there is a resistor in the box to take the voltage coming out of the receiver down to 3v, and what you do is cut off the connector they have put on the LEDs, solder the resistor onto the red wire and then solder a female JST connector onto the other end of the resistor and the black wire. The JST then goes onto the +ve and -ve of your chosen receiver.I went for the GoolSky 3ch transmitter/receiver for about £30 on here. And I paired it with the el-cheapo ESC that looks like a circuit board wrapped in clear tape (about £12, or £5 elsewhere if you can wait for delivery from china and no chance of a refund if it goes bang and kills your receiver like mine did). A 2S Lipo (7.4v 1500mah) works just fine using some JST/Deans adaptor cables.I won't post any vids or pics, there are plenty online already from people better than me... but I will say that despite all the bother and tinkering, it was very satisfying watching it go up a 45-50 degree angle with ease.My take away advice... test the electronics throughly before putting it all together!! And if you haven't already figured it out, you need a soldering iron for this kit, at the very least to solder wires onto the motor even if you don't want to bother with the LEDs.

Missing Components
Very disappointed to find that this kit has been wrongly packed with two rear axels and no steering axel.
